Let me start by saying that I am not a successful chaser because I always give up when I go deep into a chase.  Because of that I have decided to begin my next chase (Hat&#x27;s baseball chase) with 400 units. That way I will not stress when going deep into the chase.  I will also begin with an embarrassingly low unit amount and increase 25% every time I go up 50 units.  It might be a little slow for some, but for me it will keep me going without giving up.

it all depends on what system you are betting on. factors include:

- number of games in a series (3 games like Dan's MLB RPI, 4 games like Cisco's 5 run game, 5 games like bD's Magna Carta or 6 games like Jeff's new system)

- average odds per game

- number of chases per system at the same time

- number of systems playing at the same time

Here is a breakdown of losses per game if the odds are -110 and -140

Game 1 = -110 / -140

Game 2 = -341 / -476

Game 3 = -826 / -1282

Game 4 = -1845 / -3218

Game 5 = -3984 / -7863

Game 6 = -8477 / -19010

Jeff had a great O/U MLB system last year. I liked it because the lines were close to -110 and my game 4 (if it got to game 4) i was only risking 16-20 units. A game 4 in other systems with higher lines would require risking alot more units, decreasing the % of your bank roll required per bet.

People say 1-2% is a good starting point.

Also, increasing your bet amount could be risky if a system suffers a loss. it may be 60-0, you get greedy & increase your unit size, all of a sudden you suffer a loss. the loss may wipe our all of your profits, while those who have stayed with their original bet amount will still be plus money.

Rule #1 of chasing is to always protect your bankroll.

That's why I use aggressive labby lines and i never increase my unit size for a system.

Also, once MLB season starts, this forum will be flooded with people saying that they found a good system. Make sure you see their numbers from the past seasons to ensure they didn't simply find a trend that worked for a year or two.

I have also been interested in chases. I have read a few threads but since this is all new to me I still had some questions.
If I bet $25 per unit what do you recommend I need in order to make it through alive in a chase system?

Q2 If you are playing a chase and go through to the last game and end with a win, are you only winning your original 1 unit you wagered in game 1?

Any help/insight is appreciated!

Yes, you are chasing to win 1 unit,  So, no matter what game of the chase you win on, you will still win 1 unit.

Lmao, such exaggeration or don&#x27;t know math. At -150 each game,  after 5 losses you would be down 96.70 units, a far cry from 400! Thx for your input though it&#x27;s always held in the highest regard.

Well if you read the threads if I remember correctly it goes to E or F 1% of the time so in a season about 7 times. Unless it happens in first week or 2 which never happened you would have no problems. It hits the A &amp; B game about 84% you&#x27;d be up plenty of units to survive.

Personally... at the start of any season I decide my base unit to win for each bet during that season.. that will always be 0.5% of my bankroll at that time. It will not change for the entire season.

I run 3 systems during NHL season and 3 systems during MLB season.. 2 that contain multiple chases.. and one that has maximum 1 chase a day. Mind you, each of the systems I use generate between 40 to 60 units each. So I don't use 2 or 3 systems that generates 100 units each as that would be too much in play.

My aim is to protect my bankroll from a down season...hence 3 systems that generate a medium amount of units, so if one is down then the other 2 can pick up. Apart from the first 12 months experimenting with systems I haven't had an issues since. I am always on the lookout for new systems or to improve etc..

I have experimented with different MM strategies and have found aggressive labby to be the most effective for me personally. I hate martingale.. too stressful for me and too much money in play, plus 1 or 2 losses can ruin a season.

Anyways, that's my 2 cents..

Minimum on Pinnacle depends on the line, but it is usually to win $1. Matchbook doesn&#39;t have a minimum. You can bet $0.01 if you want.

We are just pointing out that you made another false statement. The thing is I bet you wish you bet .50 cents a game so you wouldn&#x27;t be down so much at the end of the season. If you bet the way you have told pople on your treads what too do there isn&#x27;t anyway you dont lose your behind every season! People who bet big money just lose big money. Only about 3% of pople in reality win over a long period of time. Long meaning 5 years or more.

Question, what&#x27;s better betting $200 a game using straight bets and hitting 54% for 500 plays ( which there isn&#x27;t a snowballs chance in hell fadeyoulosers does) or betting a chase system that goes 500-0 for a season betting to win $10 a unit? This is using -110 for sake of argument.
