Has anyone ever used this to rate sports teams?

I use it with some success in the NBA. I don't use the solver part I input the ratings as listed from the sagarin ratings and put my own twist on it.

Any thoughts.

Using this rating tool. I'll post a pick or two for a week to see how it goes.

So, for tonight 28 DEC 09 I will be on

Portland at -6.

I will monitor OKC -5.5.

We'll see how it goes.

for the month the system I am using the results are 10-1-1 ATS.

If anyone is interested I will share the spreadsheet I am using.

For the ratings system I was reviewing the results were 16-9 ATS.

Again, if anyone is interested in seeing the spreadsheet, I will share.

Well,

If I was to handicap this game and notice that DET is on a 8 game losing streak ATS versus a team that is 3-2 last 5 ATS. I wouldn't touch this game irreguardless what ratings say.
