Yes, it is available and currently using it. It fluctuates quite a bit and I am thinking that I may have to filter it early in season to avoid flip flopping as teams win-lose. I might try to play it with the TOPVRPI at the beginning of a series, and continue the play on the qualifying team that entered in as TOPVRPI in game A of a series. I think this would of provided better results in this last week or so.

Going to be adding a "Top Dog Play" system starting tomorrow. If you understand excel a bit you can download the sheet from post #2, unhide the columns between TPL II and Top Dog and have a look at a bit of the logic. I will explain a bit more tomorrow. started this in hockey, watched so far this year, looks OK so far and no better way to pass/fail an idea then put some money on it and track it !!

For comment and discussion. I have kind of used this off and on in NHL & MLB but have never fully tracked on a daily basis. Pretty difficult to backtest so I am going to play small units and track for the rest of this year to see how it fairs. Hopefully it can add a few units to the total.
This is how I determine my daily Top Dogg. My attempt is to isolate what i figure is the single "best bet" dog for the night, utilizing the info used for standard capping and scoring each dog by averaging their rank in certain categories. I will try to limit my BR exposure by only playing 1 game per night, played on a progression line (1x,2x,3x,5x,8x,12x,16x,20x). My 1x is 0.25 of a unit.
Out of the number of Dogs playing that night, each team is ranked from 1 (best) to the # of dogs that night (worst) in the following.
1. Home/Road Win % (dependent if dog is H or R)
2. Year win %
3. RPI Differential to Opponent that day
4. Starting Pitcher ERA (if P has no recorded ERA, 6.00 is used)
5. Season Win Total
6. Last 10 wins
7. Dog @ Home or on Road (Home Dogs get slightly better score)
I then average the rank of the 7 categories, the Dog with the lowest score is the top play. One filter....my personal discretion, if i feel the analytics hasn't captured it properly, I wont play it. Lets see how it goes, any constructive feedback welcome. The sheet is updated in post #2 if you want to follow along.
