MLB Make That Money...

Allright, since we have B2W's strategy in our back pocket, I have been working on something to compliment it and now I think I've got it. The best way to explain it is with an example.  So one of todays picks is STL over CIN.  STL just swept MIL, they won the series, CIN just got swept by PHI, they lost the series.  Since CIN rpi is lower then MIL (new competiton has to be worse then previous) and since CIN rpi is also lower then STL, STL will be a play.

So we are looking for the teams to get 1 win in the series.  I use an agressive lab line as explained in my NCAAF thread. Just remember it is close to the end of the season and teams will be pulling players and using unknowns so keep it small as this is a trial for next years season.

Todays play is OAK "C" bet. 

We will see what happens, it's against KC and that was the team that gave B2W's strategy a loss.  I was also thinking of incorporating the series price in my decision as well.  Like do my criteria and then only make the bet if the team is a -200 or greater to win the series, something like that.

Todays plays would be KC, PHI and ARZ.  But since I'm now adding in the series price (KC +100, PHI -180, ARZ -220)  only PHI and ARZ will be the plays, they are both in 4 games series.

Just seeing if I got this right,  

Since Toronto beat Boston in the series before Baltimore,
and Toronto and Boston both have a better RPI than Baltimore.

Toronto was then considered a play?

You want TOR to have a better RPI then BAL and you want BAL to have a worse RPI then BOS (TOR's previous competition)  This way TOR should be playing an easier team then they were last series.  TOR was also -240 odds to win the series.  I think I will only bet on teams -180 or higher.

We maybe pushing our luck with this system this late in the season with all the minor leaguers playing.  PHI was a -360 ml (the highest so far) to win the series vs HOU and so far are 0-2

Weather this play wins or loses this is the last play for the year. I am impressed with the results and will use this system next season.  Considering that PHI is a play in my system and it would also be a play in B2W's system, we have to believe that PHI will get the win today!!!

I'm here!  RPI isn't out till the end of the month.  I was going to just use the series odds for now but no books have them out.  Maybe they wait till after a few games before they post those bets??

I'm looking into something else, going thru last years numbers soon.  As for my personal plays they are

Chase TOR for a win (3 games)

Chase Verlander, Halladay, Kershaw, and Strasburg for a win (3 games)
