The premise here is simple. It's the same thing as the my MLB RPI system but with an added feature: we continue chasing a series after a win AS LONG AS THE NEXT SERIES FITS WITHIN the current RPI number. According to ESPN RPI rankings.
Current numbers are:
HOME: 35
Visitor: 40-42 (depends on team strength)
This came to me this morning after thinking about this for so long because SO SO many games/series have been dominated by the better teams and we are losing wins just because we stopped the series bet because of a win.
Here's an example:
In a week after the All Star game PHI plays the Cubbies then the Padres. Both, right now, would be plays/series according to the MLB RPI System. Well, if Phi wins their first game we would normally be done with that series. BUT!!! As we all know, good teams beat the bad teams more often than bad teams beat the good teams. Why shouldnt we just continue chasing PHI until their series end? ONLY CHASE/START A "NEW" SERIES THO AS LONG AS THEY HAVE 3 REMAINING RPI GAMES REMAINING.
EXAMPLE: Let's say PHI wins the A bet/1st game. Start a new 3 game series w/2nd game. Phi loses 2nd game. B game would then be 3rd game of series w/ChiC. And so forth......
Remember though, we only chase for three (3) games. So that means crossover from one series to another could occure.
Send some questions, comments and so forth.
Im hoping to get a couple more wins from beating bad teams. Sytem will start Post All Start Game.
Thanks.

Love your original system. Started following a couple weeks ago and have been enjoying the success. I can see this being effective in a 4 game series. However, I don't think will be effective in most instances. Makes some sense in this instance as Phillies play the Cubs in the 2nd series, but what if it was a team that wouldn't meet the RPI criteria? Just think that could create unwanted risk and not see the results that your original system does. Have you back tested this at all?

No have backtested it whatsoever. I see ur point frank...if team we betting on loses 2 straight and team we guna bet on in 2nd serieswins 3 straight that blows the whole system outa whack.
Maybe just bet reallt good teams against really bad teams in back to back series??? Or maybe just bet good teams @ home vs 2 lousy series teams??
Send some info ppl!!!

U can pretty much tell if the next series is going to be a play. not always, but a lot of times. in those questionable situations I think we end the series and wait for the next. In other words, it wouldnt be a "play" in this system but in the OG mlb rpi it would.

I think for this to work the 2nd series needs to be considered in advance otherwise it becomes more of a chase then a system. Also, I think this potentially goes against your reason for developing the system, which is awesome, in the 1st place. Creates a lot of additional action on high juice teams and that's usually a win for the book if you're doing it every day.
That being said against a weak team in the 2nd series then it's prob a good idea. I mean maybe the best move is to increase the units majored for the original system, which has proven successful.

just looked. WAS road record is better than hou home record. do we continue to chase hou to lose??? Tec@hnically, washington, because of their losing record on Monday vs hou is a NO play. BUT hou is pathetically horrible.
Please post some comments.

I didnt post to play AGAINST HOU yesterday but I think we should chase them outa town since they are so bad right now and their next series will be against WAS which is w/in the RPI standards for a play.
So, today we start a new series, A GAME against HOU.

Good Deal... I was on both of them with you... Good Job! How far would you have chased if the Pitt game had lost today? Being that the system will bet against Hou again tomorrow right?
Thanks for all the good work!

Drewmans, I was actually just PONDERING that same question. Do I chase for 4 incase???IDK!!! New system Im trying out to get me & YOU more plays/wins. My MLB RPI system is refined (almost) but Im sure I will have to tweak this sytem before the year is thru and be ready for next year.
