Whats everyones view on the .5 point buying that morrison suggests
if the spread is +2.5, +3, +6.5, or +7?

Let me see if I got this right, all of these are A bets with JM, that I know
using sportsbook it shows

Kansas +320 on the ML and +9 (-120) on the spread
Cleveland +220 on the ML and +6 on the spread
Miami not showing the odds yet
Tampa Bay + 280 on the ML and + 7.5 on the spread

these are the underdogs so we bet on the spread and buy .5 points? I've read JM's NFL PDF 3 or 4 times
just trying to make sure I got it right, this is my first time betting on NFL, I did good on the MLB with small bets mostly on the unofficial bets.

Yes, Carolina is a play, but they had a bye this week. They will be a play next week along with Tennessee, Seattle, and the second game of the Kansas City chase.

Looks like we have to take carolina moneyline according to JMs system next week, odds wont be great im guessing -200 whats everyones view on this?

Interesting system, thanks for posting it.
 
This system is somewhat similar to my "Bounce Factor" I post each week on the site.
 
The difference, I bet only 2 games , only play the point spreads, fade winning teams as well as backing losing teams, but don't bet every winning streak or losing streak, actually find betting against winning teams is slightly better than betting for losing teams, I've found some streaks are better than others, based on teams reaching high points or low points at the end of the run.

Here's the problem with a chase system like this.  When you lose just 1 time it will take many, many wins to get back just 1 loss.
 
Depending on which bet you win, the A bet, B bet or C bet will determine how many bets you need to win to break even off just 1 loss.
 
For example, they way he advised you to bet, A $100, B $250, C $650.
 
1 loss and your down $100 dollars, 1 A bet win at -110 would net you $91 profit, therefore you'd need to win 11 A bets to score $1001 or a wopping $1 profit.
 
If you win 11 games and lose 1 that's a 91.7% wininng rate.

B bet would reguire a 88.9% win rate to score a $16 profit.
 
C bet would reguire a 83% win rate to score a $205 profit.
 
Now granted, you won't win all A bets at once, you'll win a combination of a few A bets, a few B bets and a few C bets, but the info shows your not going to score much profit off this chase system.
 
Your best bet would be to win more C bets because that bet produces a larger profit, but who wants to go to the last game of the chase and have a ton of money riding on that.
 
The other thing to remember is the info is based on betting the point spread at -110, what happens when you buy .5 and lay -120 or -130 to buy up to +3.  What happens when you bet the ML and lay odds like with Carolina this weekend, now you lose even more when you lose or you win less which means your win percentage must be better than above to score a profit.

Sounds like you have a handle on it.  Best advice?  Don't make any bets using this system.

It depends on your risk appetite, I personally keep the risk to 7.6 units a series, its obvious the system isnt a high yielder but I think if you have to take a moneyline bet with this system then if in some rare stroke of luck it loses on game A then you should scrap the series and not chase it, because you will be doubling up very high at game C in this scenario. You can afford to have one loss and still profit or break even with 2 losses. This system has only had 1 loss in 5 years.
And I have bet this system before he released it to the public so I know it works. The same method can be used successfully with NBA but needs more caution/filters applied.

What I do is bet very small on your own personal plays.  Wait for  the rare C bet, then hit it hard.  I know it takes alot of patience, but as long as your personal plays aren't totaly horrible you will
make a good if not great sum.  Think about it, everything is great when you hit 10-15 A bets in a row, but if you happen to have 2 B bets or even worse 2-3 C bets on the same day, you can lose alot of  money(all of your money that you have made using the system or more) in one bad, unlucky day. If you hit all of those A bets(the 10-15) you are going to raise your bets, losing more than you won.

I think you are confused. you are not profiting any more off of the C bet than you are the A bet. You are simply increasing your bet if you lose bet A and B to cover those losses as well as win the initial wager and hopefully you never get to that point. If you win bet A then end of story.

If you lose 1 time you dont need to win many many times to get back just 1 loss, you need to win bet B which is simply a continuation of A. Did you read the system or any of the previous posts?

Why is "what you do" any different? Hitting hitting the "C" bet hard.

If that loses, then you will be hit hard.

Everyone talks about JM's system and then they all come up with "their method", alterations, gut feelings to play or not play etc.

The bottom line is that is why it is a system. You either follow it or you don't.  When you pick and choose, it defeats the purpose.

Yea puppet I agree, with a system your supposed to follow it not deviate from it by taking your own "gut feeling" plays, that is exactly what sorts the gamblers from the pro punters who cash in week after week.

Silanarchy: I was just stating the way I play the system.  If you are trying to win $100, you will be laying $1,240 on the C.  More than 12-1 odds!  Still following the system (skipping the A & B bets)  you can bet

$850 on the C bet and win $500.  It's just a fiIter I use, JM makes up filters all of the time(especially after he loses).  Also you're telling me that you have never placed a small personal wager for fun?  I highly doubt it.  Good luck with your plays.

As of this posting, (Friday October 9, 2009 at 2:20 p.m Eastern Time (USA), still no odds on the Jax v Seattle game this Sunday, October 11, 2009.  I wonder why those odds are not posted by now.  hmmmmm
