After the success of the baseball parlay system, I was looking to apply it to NHL and have come up with this.
The basic concept is to parlay the strongest 2 road teams each night. For example if Boston is -120, NYR +110 and Toronto +125 are the 3 road teams, you'd parlay Boston -120 and NYR +110.
We chase up to 8 games as we did in the baseball parlay system with set betting amounts of 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 8x, 12x, 18x, 25x. There is some flexibility in the betting amounts as we get further down the string to make sure we profit on any session we have a win.
Results so far for the season based on Covers odds through 10/25 is 7 parlay wins out of 13 games bet, +30.38 units.
One thing I have done differently than the baseball parlay is to split my bankroll in 2 to cover a potential 2 losses. With each win, I divide the profits of that session up between the 2 bankrolls and what I'll call my pocket. Consider the pocket as money that won't be touched going forward, kind of like a stop loss for those stock market people or putting chips in your pocket when you are up at the blackjack table. Also, we will recalculate the betting amounts with each win to possible increase our betting amounts. Will be a slow process at first.
Since I just started this thread we will use today as game 1. See post below. Also, note that I didn not backtest too much. There was one 8 game loss last year, and I did not calculate the total for the year. Given time I will do so. Please note this is a system I'm tracking here for testing purposes and community exposure.

I like it.. I'm currently running 3 systems, 1 is going well and 2 are not.. Totals are frustrating me at the moment. So I will join in on this for some fun and banter...
Looking forward to it..

Curious…From I understand you generally use standard labby, any reason why you are not using it on this for more safety ?
Cheers
On this one along with the baseball parlay, I'm using one of the Tony Stoffo money management parlay systems with a little twist on the 2 banks and putting money aside.

When chosing teams and lines, I will look at current odds on Covers at the time I post to determine which 2 teams, then I will look for the best combo of odds in Vegas to get the best return.
Tuesday: Game 2, Mon -115 and LA Kings -115, $10 to win $24.95
Bank 1 - $365
Bank 2 - $370
Pocket - $0
Current bank - $735
Starting Bank - $740 (enough for two, 8 game losses)

Dan, I had it as Mon and SJ as the two strongest tonight, which would have been a win. This was based on closing lines. When exactly are you determining what two teams to play. It gets tricky with line movement.

How you doin' worked well for you last season with MLB, should be interesting to see how Stoffo's Twin-Parlay-MM-Chase-System works when it's attached to the NHL. It should be noted; Stoffo's innovation to a MM Chase involving Twin Parlay wagering is designed exclusively for use> MLB NBA NHL
Your two Banks concept also worked well, are you going to attach different handicapping methodology to each bank? (as you did with MLB) I use this system daily, always betting a twin when a valued one is available, are you still using Stations Casino? I found Cantor sportbooks (CG Technology_ software) offers great PL and RPL prices, comparable to no other Books in LV, you may, or may not be aware of this. May your quest be prosperous, it's going to be interesting to see the results of your BR at seasons end..the best in your direction

I make the pick based on the lines at the time I take a look at it. I can't monitor the lines all day and want to get the selection in with plenty of time remaining. If you are able to wait until right before puck drop, that might work better, however it would be tough for me to post on here right before game time each night.

I'm only going to use the one parlay system for now, but increased the bank to cover 2 total system losses. I do have a Cantor (CG) account and they usually have the best lines, agreed.
Thanks for the kind words of support. Best of luck to you as well.

Covers showed LA at -123 with both Mon and SJ at -107. LA would have had to been one of the teams involved, thus a loss.
Where are you looking at closing lines?

Also, we will be increasing the bet unit size as we go forward. Since each bank is designed for an 8 game chase that equals 74 units, each time the bank increases enough to increase our starting bet by at least .25, I'll raise the bets. It'll be a slow grind, but it is a long season.
If we started this from day one, we would have had 10 wins out of 20 games bet. Total bank would be $942 from the $740 starting. That's 40.4 units in 3 weeks.

Good fun I really like the idea of 2 banks, pocketing, increasing etc etc...
I haven't jumped on board just yet as I am going to have a squiz over last season or 2 worth of results based on opening lines.. might look over results tonight and hop aboard this train tomorrow.
So far In your research and calculation of last season how does it look ?

Just out of curiosity... thinking out loud here... if you were to go back over last season's results and look at the biggest away fave and parlaying it with the biggest home fave... would that remove the 1 system loss ?
Obviously the biggest home fave will decrease the size of the total odds in the parlay... but if it removes the system loss and increases the win rate might be worth it ?
You may have already considered this not sure... just thought I would throw it out there is all..

Coasts Casinos. It where I'm playing most of the time at this point. They had LA at -119. Mon and SJ were -120.
Gotcha. You may want to also open an account at Cantor (CG Technology). They consistantly have better odds and it gives you the opportunity to line shop. I live on the west side in Summerlin so going to the Palms and opening account was the closest for me. They have a good app and offer alternate runlines as well.

I haven't looked at that. I'm trying to stay away from heavy faves and think there is value in away teams. More often than not we will be parlaying low fave odds or even getting plus odds. I just don't see the value in having a team in a parlay at -270 odds.
In the baseball parlay system, we lost one 8 game chase and still were very profitable. The idea of losing 74 units is tough so that's why I started the 2 banks, increasing the bets slowly and pocketing some profits each time. It's all an experiment as I contunue my journey for better ways to implement money management.
