as for divulging our systems, that's nuts. some people actually want to make a living off of these systems.

I would like to add...

In all certaintity some people will tail others picks at some point, and I believe it would be a nice accomodation to everyone involved if posters would be responsible in their posting on the following levels:

1- If you are flat betting and/or using chasing (mix of the two aswell) we should denote the plays in a standard fashion:

Example:

Lakers -3 -110 $330 / $300 (F) for a flat bet on the lakers

Lakers -3 -110 $330 / $300 (C-A) for a chase game at the "A" level

Lakers -3 -110 $990 / $900 (C-C) for a chase game at the "C" level

etc...

This would be a responsible way of posting and I think most would agree on somekind of universal format. The above format is just a quick suggestion.

2- Let's all be mature in our postings and if we take it upon ourselves to post, we should stick to it. It's a challenge/experiment keep it up through good times and bad times.

Feedback would be great.

Great to hear from you, sir! Absolutely, I had no intention of doing Live Wagering in this thread. It would be impossible to do with so many posters in the same thread and to keep track of. It's much easier in my own thread and people know where I'm doing it at and can easily log in and check.

Someone did mention about having to divulge your System, and I also agree with you that this will not be a sticking point. As I said in the initial post you can use any method you want - the goal is to just make profit.

It was my idea that we should explain the systems/strategy we use.  After all this is systems/strategy forum.  If its just picks then I am out.  No use sharing my system if nobody else does.

Ok so here is my system so everyone will know my crazy picks.

1. THERE must be 6 or more NBA plays in the day, I only will play NBA for this.

2. I will make 4 wagers a day. I am using a 8 game martingale sort of system with a minumum wager of 35 and max wager of 875. However all bets will be 2 game parlays with 2.6 to 1 odds.

This will break my bankroll into 4 parts, so if I lose one whole series I still have 3 series left.

The Series will go 35-70-105-175-420-630-875. If I lose an entire series than i start over at 35.

Here is how my wagers will work

Series 1 and Series 2 I will pick the 4 most lopsided picked games on the COVERS CONSENSUS. I will bet the dogs on all 4 games with the 1 and 2 biggest gap as Series 1 and the 3 and 4 biggest Gap as the Series 2 bet ( note: IF the underdog is the favorite of the covers consensus I still bet the DOG!!)

Series 3 I bet under on the two highest consensus of peope picking the under ( I always stay with the consensus on over/under)

Series 4 I bet the OVER on the two largest consensus over picks!

All -110 odds, always take the spread

EXAMPLE OF BETTING

December 29

Series 1 Hou and Det parlayed

Series 2 Phil and CLip parlayed

Series 3 Cle and Bos both unders parlayed

Series 4 GS and Phil both OVER parlayed

All 4 of these lost...haha, but you get the point

Backtesting this system to Nov 1st this system would have turned 10,000 into 21255. We all know backtesting does not mean shit and i will prolly crash and burn, but what the hell...Right?

In backtesting I suffered one series loss which ends up being almost 2500 dollars, but with one system loss, not too bad if you ask me.

Wish we would have started today, would have started 2-2 plus 120. Oh well. Also continuing my testing from november 1st I lost another series on December 31st. Sucks because today that series won, but was back to a 35 dollar bet. A 420 wager won also today which won 1100. This is all just testing. Seeing if it can sustain the whole NBA year. Still up over 11,000 even though the last 5 days lost 2 Grand!! I am ready for this challenge though!! Will be fun for sure.

This is supposed to start tomorrow I guess, completely forgot all about it being so busy today. I don't really have time to do something like this but I'll open a new thread for you guys to start posting in. If someone else wants to take the ball and run with it, I think it would still be fun for your guys.

The challenge was directed at a couple of people in particular here, none of who will be participating and one who even sheepishly has left the forum. With over 20 people wanting to play I think it will be mass confusion all in one thread.

I'll go ahead and post what i'm doing here - if that new thread opens that's great, if not, I guess we'll be posting here.

What my plan is for this is to work on my money management. Currently I mostly use labouchere lines, which works well for me, but I think the unit system of money management is a lot more efficient, and a better long term strategy. My problem is identifying my stronger plays and determining what units to play with each bet. Hopefully that doesn't make me sound incredibly amateurish, but I think the better bettor is the one who knows his weaknesses. My goal here is to hopefully be able to better identify my stronger plays and assigning correct units to each play get better at so I can move from lab lines to unit betting.

I'm hoping for feedback too - preferably the constructive kind, but we'll see what happens.

Only one play for me today - I'm currently on vacation and don't want to spend too much time on this stuff for the next few days. Hopefully I'm not the only one still planning on posting - I think this is a great opportunity for a lot of people to come together and to learn a lot.
