Also mods this is a system, rules will be posted in time. If you must, move it to NHL but the pattern will be revealed over the season. Will be using this as a learning tool for new people to systems and strategies.

Finally a posted winner. Season record 2-4. System is still being tested, quite frankly can't be bothered to back test anymore. This thread will be the season test, if it turns out okay, will back test through next off season. This is not a chase system.

If a team lost their last game as a favourite on the road, basically take them -1.5 in their first game as a favourite when they return home. The theory is you are taking strong teams. I don't really believe in home ice advantage though, so the more I think about it, the more I feel this strategy could be flawed.

I like the idea of taking a team a day on PL -1.5 as there is value in it..generally.
I think it would be more prudent to look at not only ensuring your team is scoring lately but even more so that your team is restricting opposition scoring very recently.
It's easier to hit the PL when you are keeping teams to 0 or 1 goal very lately..
Also even better to have opposition defender and scoring/assist injured players..
There needs to be a level of capping involved.
I don't believe in the theory 'favourite' or 'stronger team' should win… as we so often in hockey that it;s not the case. Plus home team wins often enough that the plays can't be restricted to home teams.
Personally I find hockey is harder to create a successful 'system' compared to baseball. Hockey is more about situational play and looking for angles.
Anyways that's my 2 cents.. in my experience. Others will say otherwise..

Thanks for the insight goodsy. totally agree withe away teams winning, that's what my main betting method this season is targeting. This was a thought to possibly take advantage of favored road teams not performing as they should have on the road and bouncing back with a big win at home. That thought process in itself was in direct conflict with the original thought process, but being able hit -1.5 plays at 40% would be a profitable year. hockey can be so unpredictable though that this would be a tough task. The holy grail would be able to select hockey dogs like sawyer did with his iron dog process. I can't find him doing it this year, otherwise I would have definitely tailed. just need to get the thought processes rolling to select plus money plays regularly in hockey. It can be done, but for now I'm super busy tracking the 6 different strategies I'm currently undertaking for hockey. Feel free to PM me and maybe we can bounce some ideas there.

Yeah I like the angle.. see what you are coming from. Keep monitoring it if you can.. be interesting to see how it pans out.
I'm with you on plus money bets.. ever since this season in MLB of betting pus money it's all I want to do now… kinda seen the light by not eating juice, makes a difference.
One of my 'systems' this season NHL, if you wanna call it that, is picking one team a day on either Reg Line or PL-1.5, looking over the results I should just pick every game as PL as they have all won by a minimum of 2 goals. The difference in payout is significant.
By carefully selecting one team a day you can 'easily' enough pick winners and mismatches… especially with certain situational spots.
Plus playing on standard labby line is working very well, all about clearing them lines.

I'm also trying to grow a set of balls to take dogs on alternate PL for a very nice payout… just not sure how to approach it yet. Bit timid and unsure..
MLB it's, I say that word 'easier' again, to pick dogs and look at taking them on reverse RL as they play 3/4 games in a series.. high chance of winning one of the games and doing it on reverse RL.
I am very interested at looking at parlaying 2 teams on RRL.. now we are talking very nice plus money.. just not sure how to approach it yet, especially the MM side of things.
