This system is a bit unorthodox in that there is not much handicapping involved but I will explain the steps. I am also looking for a place to post all of my picks, but I'm not sure what forum is best. The moderators will shut down posts that are unrelated to a specific sport...I'm guessing the best one would be in the General Gaming Forum. Anyway, here it goes...
Step 1) Go to oddsportal.com and click the link for "Hot Matches" on the right hand side of the page. I always start with the "Soccer" tab and work my way through the other sports, but you can go straight to "Baseball" or whatever sport you are interested in playing.
Step 2) Click on each game that is listed as "Today". For this system I only use 1x2 and H/A bets, so make sure that is the tab you are on once you are on the screen for each game.
Step 3) Scroll down and look at the "User Predictions" row under all of the odds for that game. Find the column that has the highest percentage and click on "Details" directly beneath it. If the average ROI of users who predicted this result is positive (labelled in green), then move on to the next step.
Step 4) Next, click on the details for the other results whose user predictions are in the minority (below 50%). If the average ROI of users who predicted this result is negative (labelled in red), move on to the next step.
Note: For 1x2 type bets, both of the other results should have an average user ROI that is negative. For example, in a matchup of Barcelona vs. Real Madrid there are 3 options (Barcelona win, Draw, and Real Madrid win). If the majority of users predicted Barcelona, and the average user ROI is positive (green) then check the other two results (Draw and Real Madrid win). The average user ROI of these two results must be negative (red) for the match to fit the criteria. If there is a positive user ROI for those that predict a Barcelona win and a Real Madrid win, then this match does not fit the criteria and you must move on to the next match.
Step 5) Once you have found a match where the majority of users who predicted a result have a positive ROI, and the users who predicted the other result(s) have a negative ROI, you should proceed to the next step. Go to flashscore.com and find the match you are looking for. Click on this match and there will be a pop-up...click on the H2H match. This step is to confirm that the team who was predicted to win from users on Oddsportal.com is in good form. I add up 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss. Add up the points for each team from their most recent 5 matches overall, as well as the points from each team on the Home/Away tabs. If the team who was predicted from Oddsportal.com has more points from the system used on Flashscore.com, then you want to bet on that team.

1) If you are betting on a team sport, always use the Last 5 results and the Home/Away form for each team.
2) For tennis, use the Last 5 results and the performance of those players on either Hard, Clay, or Grass. The court style for that particular tournament is stated at the top of the pop-up when you click on the match on Flashscore.
3) For all other individual sports, I use the Last 5 results from each player, as well as any H2H matchups they have had (still assigning 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss.
4) In the case where one or both teams/players do not have 5 listed recent results skip the match. This usually only happens in Doubles Tennis.
5) In terms of the point system for Flashscore.com, skip any match in which the teams end up having an equal amount of points. For example, in a game between the Baltimore Orioles and Detroit Tigers, the Baltimore Orioles winning meets our criteria from Oddsportal.com. However, the point system from Flashscore comes out as BAL - 12, DET - 12...I would skip this match.
If this is too complicated, or I have not done a good enough job explaining it, please PM me with any questions.
I am also going to post all of my picks on the Covers blog, so you can just follow those picks there. I am posting my picks for tonights games in a few minutes, even though a few have already started.
Best of luck,
Boydo

this is probably the dumbest thing i have read all day....
I don't think it is dumb at all. Boydo is letting handicappers with a positive return on investment pick games for him. He confirms the pick if a capper with a negative ROI is on the opponent. And, he then uses a couple of filters to finalize the selection. Why not let a good capper do the work for you. Some guys are really good. Or, why not fade a bad capper...some guys just suck at picking winners!!
I don't know much about the websites he is using so, I will keep an eye on this to see if there is any validity to this system. Keep in mind that Covers has a tool you can use to add to this system. If you go to the Consensus tab, there is a tab of Top Cappers and a tab of Team Experts. You can check to see if they like the same team that this system picks for an added filter.
Good luck with this system Boydo!! I will be watching.

Based on Boydo's criteria, here are today's selections for baseball:
Arizona
Tampa Bay
I did this around noon EST. I will re-check this closer to game time to see if it changes (could be more cappers picking later in the day). This is still a test for me.
Good luck if you choose to play!!

I know this is a small sample size but, I like it so far. Nice job Boydo! I will try to post today's plays. I will be a little busy at work so, it might not be until later today.

Remember, tread lightly. Even though I like the premise of this system, there is not any back testing or results to verify. At least most of the plays are dogs. Dodgers seem way over priced.
Good Luck!

Maybe I'm not understanding this thing. On oddsportal, both ROI for AZ are +.

I did this quickly before I headed out to the Pirates game. I could have swore that AZ was green and Wash was red. No way to check now. Later today I will try to get up today's picks.

Sorry I've been away for a few days hanging with my girlfriend. I usually check Oddsportal about 2-3 hours before gametime...I figured that most people will have put in their predictions by then. The only reason I don't like using the Covers Expert feature is because it only shows you the picks for the top 10%. This is the equivalent of both teams having users with a positive ROI on Oddsportal, in which case I would skip the game. Since there seems to be relative interest in this system, I will continue posting picks in this thread. Keep in mind that a lot of my winnings come from soccer. My ROI for MLB and Japanese League Baseball hovers somewhere between 0.5% and 1.0%. Nothing eyecatching. Anyways...here are todays picks:
New York Yankees (1.58)
New York Mets (1.69)
Also...sorry for the use of American odds. If it bothers people enough I will do my conversions before posting.

Hmmm...you are absolutely correct. Of course, the ROI for any pick can change with just one additional user that has a very high ROI or very low ROI. This is why it is important to double check right before gametime. Thank you for the check and balance Steve.
As for the games with 100% on one side...I usually keep those in the system, unless there is only 1 or 2 people backing that pick

Todays picks coming soon. I'm headed out to the Citi Open today so I'm putting in tonights picks early. As always, double check before you bet as the status of Green/Red on Oddsportal can change.
