This is some new ammo I have dug up that I'm sharing with people. Maybe the combatants can use this as well.
Here is something very interesting that I discovered a little while ago. This site keeps track of probabilities and other neat stats. The Yankees have now won 6 in a row. According to this https://www.hardballtimes.com/main/blog_article/the-odds-of-winning-streaks/ The Yankees have a 66% chance of winning their 7th in a row and if they get that, they will have a 75 % chance of winning 8 in a row. The highest percentages exist for road teams on a winning streak of at least 6. Very interesting stuff and since I'm only at 1 on Survivor I'm locking my Yankees in today for that whopping W2!

No Run lines in the Forum! You can take any team baseball regardless of odds but no Run lines. Despite the perception baseball has many upsets and high odds in baseball lose frequently so the need for run lines is dropped in the Battles.

I just saw this post after I posted the above post. No problem Edwardglenn. I just wanted to make this simple and others made a good point about Run lines which I adopted because it really made sense.

No Run lines in the Forum! You can take any team baseball regardless of odds but no Run lines. Despite the perception baseball has many upsets and high odds in baseball lose frequently so the need for run lines is dropped in the Battles.
Smooth,,,i understand that reasoning for people trying to pick the PLUS side +1.5,,,which i 100 % agree with you on that,,,it be tooooooooo easy.
But, when you have a baseball ML sitting at -200, the odds are stacked in your favor,,,,,there for picking texas giving up a run and a half,,,,-1.5 drops the odds all the way down to fair odds.
if i were to pick the favorite and there run line, not only is it taking away from my chance to easily win that bet, BUT it gives my opponent a better chance of me losing that bet.
i wasn't wanting to take the dog GETTING a run but the favorite getting a run.....Ya dig????

I feel ya. Originally I had run lines in baseball but it immediately caused problems and the argument was made and I subsequently agreed that run lines weren't really good for the purpose of this contest. My whole idea was to make this a simple as possible without all the bells and whistles that cappers like. So we just went with winners straight up except baseketball and football where points can be capped. If somebody takes all the favs in baseball they wont win their battle. I can pretty much can guarantee that. Today for example favs went 7-8. That's the beauty of baseball 162 games it's about the cycles not the odds.
