I have developed a system for picking NBA O/U games that has done very well through back testing. In 2009, it was at 62% for the year and this year so far it is at 64.19% (95-53-2) and I am rated #1 in NBA O/U on this site. You can check.

Also, some picks are off the charts, I call them "Power Plays" and these picks are at 16-3 this year.

I am posting all my picks for the rest of the year to document the system and make some .

Some days my system has a pick for all the games, some days it picks 1 or 2 out of 6. But it roughly picks most games.

I am going to flat bet 2% on regular picks and 6% on "Power Play" picks, I know it is a little aggresive.

My goal is to start with a $1000 investment and grow it as much as possible. I can't give u a number but all I can say is that I will stick to the system at 2% and 6%. Bets will be raised at the $1500, $2000 etc....

    Beginning Balance: $1000 on Dec 7, 2010

Here are todays plays, posted in a thread here at covers.

    1. NJ/Atl under 185

    2. Den/Cha under 201

    3. Cle/Phi over 196

    4. Det/Hou under 200.5

    5. GS/Dal under 205.5

    6. Was/LAL under 206

    7. Pho/Por Over 204

All games above are $20 to win $18.18. There are no "Power Plays" for the day.

I am pretty certain with discipline that this system can get me to .

Lets see how it does, feel free to comment along the way. And most importantly, lets have fun.

On a side note, Thinker (Falcon) Inspired me to create this post and i owe him.

I have so many problems winning NBA, why not tail someone for a while?  Follow for a week, if I like, I'm in.

Thanks for the time and effort.

Thank u all for the support erb, pay, mick, aqua, and nole. Remember this goes until April 13. No one day will make us or break us. Yesterday was I was 6-1 but that was yesterday and it doesn't count for our project.

And please, no knee jerk reactions. There is an estimated 700+ games that will be played by our system of the remaining 900+ NBA games.

Whether I go 6-1 again today or 2-4, I know in the long run. It will be over 60%......

Checked the NBA O/U; sure enough there's our man in first place.  With a boatload of selections made, I might add.

Eight games on the ticket tonight, eight O/U selections.  Balls of steel, no doubt.

XLR is a US player I believe and therefore cannot sign up with Pinnacle

Parlaymakers has the same lines as Pinnacle though.  I also suggest going there

Sounds like good advice. I have always used Betus.com but by those prices, i should switch.

Payday000, 55% should be no problem!

Post 1: "My goal is to start with a $1000 investment and grow it as much as possible. I can't give u a number but all I can say is that I will stick to the system at 2% and 6%. Bets will be raised at the $1500, $2000 etc...."

It's one or the other my friend... either you make 2%/6% wagers of your bankroll or you have static wager amounts that move up as you progress.

Post 7: "Whether I go 6-1 again today or 2-4, I know in the long run. It will be over 60%......"

Just remember that no amount of backtesting or previous success will amount to future success... or in other words, you don't know anything (and neither do I).

With that being said, I'm in, let's make some cash!

    Hi DJ,

The system i came up with gives me a hypothetical number that lets me know whether the game will go over or under. If the "Hypothetical Number" gets to a certain point, it is considered a "Power Play". The games that are "power plays" I will bet 6%, the rest will be 2% games.

The games that I don't play my system considers a push and I don't bet on it.

If I get to $1500, then 2% plays are $30 and power plays (6%) are $90.

That is true about me not knowing anything. I don't but my system seems to get around 60-65% correct. We'll see my friend.

I got 1K riding on it.

    Alabamam,

Lets say I win 61% of the remaining 700+ games we will bet on. I think $1000 should be in the $3500-$4500 vicinity. Considering the raising of bets and "Power Plays".

Is that not good for 4 months worth of work?

I don't have the figures in front of me but by tomorrow night I will post a goal.

Remember that there will be roughly 50-80 power plays which are 6%.

    Cheers

I was about to say that $500-1000 profit was looking a little weak, i started to doubt what i figured out a couple of days before.

I will do an estimate at 60% for the rest of the year (including 60% power plays) and come up with a goal.

    Bueller,

Only the games my system tells me to. Some days I will play 1 out of 4, Some days 7 out of 8. It plays about 75% of the games.

Yesterday (Which doesn't count for our project) it said to play 1 over and 6 unders. It kind of worried me but as it turned out, I went 6-1. 5 of the 6 unders hit.

But i have had days went i went 2-4 or 1-4, that is when people knee jerk and say the system doesn't work. You have to be patient.

I know you don't have much proof of my system except for the 150 game sample size documented on Covers. 95-53-2. But give it time.

Please feel free to ask questions or comment.

And, as with all wagering systems, computer, etc......GAMBLE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

i like what i am hearing and your confidence is nice, but can you explain how your system works a little more and what you do to get your bets rather than just saying you have a system.

what factors do you look at?

    My, My ......What an butt.

    Great Avatar Scuba.

I use a system that incorporates many factors.

Overall PPG divided by H/A PPG divided by the square root of the 14th power of the dimples of your avatar's ass.

Just Kidding, I'm not going to say exactly but it takes into consideration these for sure:  Total PPG/Def PPG, Recent Meetings, Last 5 games, Injuries, and most important, Coaching.

If i would say exactly then it can be copied and that would be no fun. But it works.
