    After my problems with DELL I am quite hesitant to ever own another. I bet it is in the same "class" as my Inspiron 600m right?

    Actually no, the reason this is so cheap is for one, it's Dell's loss leader item to get you to be a lifelong customer and also this certain model they made up about 5,000 ahead of time to fill the orders.
     
    One more also, they are trying to get rid of the 1.6 Core 2 Duo chips.
