I saw Lippsman posted this thread yesterday, but I deleted McAfee and have Malwares and Avast
I have windows 7 and it just happened to my computer about 5 times. A few shutdowns during bootup. I then finally got it semi booted and it went to a blackscreen asking me if I wanted a bootup repair ( recommended ) I did.
It then said it had to restore my computer to a previous restore point.
I recently had another computer of mine repaired by a computer geek and hope when I finally use it, the damn thing isn't nuked by the thing that attacked yesterday and my computer today.
Any suggestions what I can to ahead of time for my recently repaired computer ( that runs windows XP )

Actually the McAfee bug is just for Windows XP, not Windows 7. At least I believe that's the deal. Although some XP computers were hit. Did Windows 7 go through the whole repair process ?

Apparently yes... I didn't know WTF was going on but I eventually got the damn computer to stay on and a window popped up asking me if I wanted to do a start up repair.
I hoped yes was the correct response, so I let it do it's thing and all is well now.
