I have a Inspiron 9300 17" laptop that is only a couple years old. Evrey option got maxed out when it was ordered, but I realize what wss sweet then is minimal a year later. I have a separate computer for work only so this is everything else. And by that I mean there is always a browser open to Covers and something either downloading or playing music at all times. It's run without problems for several years because I use virus stuff and don't clutter it up with shit like all my past ones.
Until football season started and I wanted to incorporate dual monitors. Reading or handicapping on one and the sportsboko and scores splitscreening the other was a degenerate dream. But that meant I had to update drivers and then something from Microsoft NET or something. Normally I'd read up on what this new overhaul I'm installing is but I saw Microsoft at the top and did everything so the 2 monitors would work. I am now wondering if this stuff was too much upgrade for this thing to handle. I say that cause someone once told me I couldn't upgrade to newest Windows cause it was too much system regardless of how equipped I thought it was.
On top of that music is always downwnloading and there is a ton stored but If it's still not even taking up a fraction of this harddrive I thought that wouldn't affect anything by just being on here.
Long story short, I am now getting pauses and little delays now so when your switching through a dozen programs and browsers trying to pick the winner in the Wabash College/DePauw game or whatever you have going on there is more time waiting on shit then getting stuff done. The browser is really the pain to use. It doesn't completely go out but it locks up for 10 seconds constandtly, and playing a youtube clip is no longer even possible. Shit pauses and freezes and drives me nuts.
I want to look at Macs or somethingnext summer or fall so I have a year to get out of this thing.
1. Is it the music or stuff I am doing that causes this. 2. The three thngs I know of that you can updrage are disk space, memory, or the video card. I googled shit but feel like I still don't know what needs to go. I want to do whatever the right upgrades are so that it is quick as shit. 3. Can I do this myself easily?
Sorry for the novel regarding Degenerates computer use but hopefully after that there aren't more questions and someone can tell me what I need to hear.
Thanks.

WOW. ONG I knew I wrote a lot but I honestly wouldnt read this post if I opened it. I took an Adderall for the first time since law school a couple hours ago and this, kids, is what happens. Wonderdrug.
CLIFF NOTES:
Covers and Music is what my computer handles exclusively.
It has started delaying and slowing down and the browser is a mess.
New video car or let this thing OD on ram to get it quick as shit.

Pretty easy, max out the memory. Problem with that, is 2GB is the max you can upgrade it to. But do it if you have 1GB or less. The ram is pretty cheap.
