Question

My HP notebook crash yesterday and the hard drive is fried. It&#x27;s still under warranty but so far their customer support has been the shits. Anyone else have a bad experience with HP?

I use to sell HP&#x27;s (Lipps, I&#x27;m sure this tells you where I was formerly employed ), and their CS can be a bitch. If it is under warranty, just call them, and explain that you need a service box, to send the PC back to them. They should just send a padded box overnight, or NBD, and you just put it in it , and send it back to HP.Don&#x27;t be surprised if it takes 45 min or so, to get to it, but just make sure you have your model#, and serial # off the bottom of the notebook. You would think HP would have the money to spend on Customer Service.  Especially someone decent in an English accent.  I guess it is more important to save money by hiring outside the US or contracting outside the States.  I had to call twice this week for tech support just to get a couple of motherboards for 2 laptops.  One of the guys, I had to keep saying huh, what did you say?  It has gotten worse over the years.  This goes beyond just laptops, since we are an HP reseller and repair group.  I have had my issues with them with laptops and desktops over the years regarding accent and sometimes even knowledge on their part, even though they are reading from a screen.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;The quality of laptops from HP hasn&#x27;t been bad.  We have a huge account with a Mortgage Company.  They have purchased over 50 laptops from us and they are HP and the only one we have had problems with was one that got some water in it and fried some of the diodes on the motherboard.  Other than that, they are good, but I hope I don&#x27;t have to call for support on any of the other ones. I don&#x27;t look forward to calling them when I have too.
