sirius radio through ipod touch

so i got the xm skydock for xmas this year to play satellite radio through my ipod touch, and when i called xm to activate it they told me it would not be possible to receive the sirius channels, only the xm channels.

this baffled me, since they are pretty much the same company now yet they cannot access the other companies accounts.  i am a sirus satellite subscriber and now i have to switch to xm just because of the skydock..... wtf??

this company is a joke.  everytime i have a question or need help with my account they never know what is going on.  i asked if i could still get sirius through my ipod touch without the skydock but they said i would need wifi to do it.  wouldnt it be possible to just receive the signal straight through the ipod without needing the antenna?  if you can get wifi through your ipod wouldnt you be able to pick up the sirius satellite too?  if anybody knows anything about this i would appreciate it

ha yeah, it seems every company in the entire country needs to resort to any measure possible to suck every penny out of our pockets these days, and we can't do a damn thing about it.

well hopefully they will make the newer ipods receive a direct signal to the satellite instead of requiring a seperate device with an antenna, and also combine all the channels from xm and sirius into one.  how sweet would that be?
