SlingBox WAN speeds

Question

Hey guys, I figure alot of you have a SlingBox so my question is this.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;Do you seem to find there is a cap on your speed when your away from home?&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;My home internet speed is 20/5, perfect for the application&#x27;s I need.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;When I am home I always get around 3 - 4mbps but when I travel I always top out around 1.1mbps.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;This is fine for watching normal TV but for watching Football or Hockey (anything with alot of sudden action) it lags.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;Anything I can do in the settings or something else to get some more speed out of my Box?

I was thinking about getting one of those sling box to use with my blackberry. Does anyone have any experience with Sling Box and Verizon Blackberry? I just want to know if it's compatible with the Blackberry and how's the quality of the pic?

I use the SlingPlayer Mobile on my BlackBerry Curve 8330 BUT it&#x27;s a pain in the ass to be honest.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;SPM does not support the 8330, but there is a way to get it to work. To be honest I dont use it on my phone all that often anyway. &#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;But if you want this just for that reason youn should know it&#x27;s a minor pain to use it on the 8330 if thats what you have.

Since some of you seem to be seasoned Slingbox users...

I am having a problem with connection away from my home. At home, the damn thing works just fine on my laptop. I get a nice picture with high bandwith. But for some reason, since I switched computers, I cannot get it to connect when I'm away from my house. Any ideas?

Any ideas?&#xD;&#xA;[/Quote]&#xD;&#xA;If you cant connect at all you probably need to check your settings and make sure everything is configured correctly.&#xD;&#xA;Alao check to make sure your not being blocked by any firewall you may have in place.&#xD;&#xA;You can also try and un-install the SlingPlayer and then re-install.

What kind of internet connection do you have?  My slingbox works great on my phone a  HTC touch pro. At my work I have dsl and it works great on my laptop w/ 4 gbs of ram but not as well on the 3 desktops w/ only 1 gb of ram.
