I'd say "yes" to any one of them if they don't get bid up. I've heard of the Jamo line but have no personal experience with them. They are different in that they don't employ the "Tractrix" tweeter (horn design) which is what Klipsch is known for. Seeing as how they're new & probably street for about $1k I'd say getting them for under $500 would be a great deal. But see if you can find some reviews on them. They don't appear to be as efficient as a Klipsch line (88db) but that's not a huge deal.
The 2nd set you list could be an excellent choice. It includes a sub which is cool. The RF-10 was one of their less expensive models & it's been around for a few years, but it looks like the seller has a matched set. They're extremely efficient (95db), which means they'll play louder than other speakers would @ the same volume setting on your receiver. You might get this set fairly cheap. Keep an eye on it..........street for the set (new) is over $1k.
I've bought a few of my pieces on ebay...........good way to go.

Just a receiver & wires. If you don't care about having an HDMI connection then your choices are huge. You can find a ton of them on ebay. A 5.1 will do you fine.........you don't need a 7.1 for now so why pay extra for it? Most receivers are going to have between 75 & 125 watts per channel (wpc).............don't be fooled by people advertising 500 or 550 or 600 (or more) watt receivers. They're just adding up the total of all the channels........5 x 100wpc = 500 watts (in theory). The ".1" in 5.1 represents the signal for the subwoofer (LFE). It supplies the bass signal to the subwoofer which has its own amp. To keep it simple, I would recommend these brands: Pioneer, Denon, Yamaha, or Harmon Kardon. These are proven brand names & some of the most popular, so you should be able to find many of these on ebay or your local elec. store. Each brand has many different models priced according to power output mostly, but also with regard to # of & type of connections. As far as speaker wires go, just go to Lowes or Home depot & grab some 16 gauge............it's fairly cheap & works just as well as the $70-$100 stuff that Monster tries to push. Your dvd player should have either a digital coax connection (orange plug-in on the back) or an optical connector, or both. You'll need one of these cables to connect your dvd player to the receiver to be able to get Dolby Digital sound (5.1).
Sorry if I'm rambling, lol.........not sure how much of this stuff you already know.
