HP in 1995.
My dad had an Apple from 1991 so I had video game experience but there was no inernet... obviously.
My brother bought me a brand new HP desktop when the internet jumped. The internet/hardware setup was pretty close to handling and figuring out plutonium.
Good computer though. By the time I figured out all the of the new technology my beloved HP was almost obsolete.

That would be the commodore PET for me. It's what I cut my teeth on programming for. It had Microsoft basic on it.
A little known fact is that Microsoft wrote the basic for most of the Commodore computers, even thouogh most of them said Commodore basic later on.
Bill Gates wanted to make sure that Commodore didn't take credit for the programming by putting an easter egg into the code.
If you type “WAIT6502,1? into a Commodore PET with BASIC V2 (1979), it will show the string “MICROSOFT!” at the top left corner of the screen.
