It's never easy to play your life long idol in arguably the biggest match of Alcaraz's young career...this is a very tough mental spot for the kid...plus Rafa knows everything about him as he has been mentoring him since joining Nadal's tennis academy many years ago...and with this knowledge cokes knowing all of the kid's weaknesses and how to exploit them.

Should be a very interesting match

so far VERY intriguing match. This kid is like a Rafa with some tweaks. Comes in alot and can volley well, bit more pace on everything, slightly more aggressive and fearless. But Rafa can dig deep and stay out there for hours...so maybe the kid will fold. Wouldn't be surprised to see this end with a medical issue.

Incredible quality despite the wind...it's an honor and pleasure to be able to still watch Rafa play at this elite level, versus the next chosen one...3-2 Rafa on serve in the 3rd set.

Rafa called for the trainer on the last changeover of the match, no treatment was given, however it appears to be a pectoralis issue...beware for tomorrow, not alot of turnaround time for him to fully recover.

I know where ur Canadian 3rd world brain is going, Pack. And BTW, As a junior,  I remember u Canudians doing really well in wind.  Played a Kalamazoo 14 and under event in a hurricane and all the winnners were either from Canada or Illinois.

And you're 100% right about the wind and Canadians...Originally from Winnipeg, I had to deal regularly with massive windstorms every summer...it never really bothered me much, especially seeing how much my opponents hated it.

Hell of a match last night and young kid had plenty of chances but couldn't get it done vs the goat. Hate losing by half a game, but Rafa will do that to you .

Congrats and no way I would fade the Goat either today, but who knows and no action for me..
