There goes that #1 seed! Bye bye Isner! The #1 seed at this tournament is a curse every year.

Winner or Mannarino-Haas is going to have potential to rule the roost in the top half of the draw now. Haas was my guy this week I thought if he could get out of R1. We'll see if he can do that or not.

Match suspended due to darkness at one set each. Maybe the lack of light is why Haas sucked in the 2nd set TB.

I put some money back into a book that has lines for Doubles matches also, so I may be including a few more of those in the future. I'm a total nerd for doubles.Can usually find a good line here and there during a tournament when you've got odd combos playing or books over valuing big names i.e The Bryans & Pospisil-Sock.

Isner was a huge disappointment. Ram is so bad too. Going to avoid newport from now on every year.

As long as you fade your fair amount of seeds early, you can do alright with this tournament. It's pretty much a given every year that at least 3 seeds or so will lose early. Just have to hope you get on the right ones.Tourneys right before and after Slams are difficult to predict. 

Ebden had his chances. Not like Querrey played all that well, just Ebden was Ebden at the end of the day and couldn't finish in either set and did just enough to lose. Stepanek was the one who surprised me. Not that he lost necessarily, but that he never even had a chance. I know he's an old dude on the back end of his career, but I thought he'd give it a beter go.

I'd say a break always helps the bigger hitter, especially after he dropped at set.

There's no telling who a suspension ever favors. Haas down a break already though, so that's probably that.
