I’m hoping this is a match where watching as many matches and doing your homework comes into play. Even when you don’t have money on a game/match, you know to watch it to start feeling out teams/players.
Madison Keys is starting to get her confidence and power striking back, but her erroring is still a problem. In the second round against Jaqueline Christian, if that match went to the 3rd set, Madison would have lost easily. She was running out of gas because of the defensive rallies Jaqueline was forcing onto Madison. Luckily for Madison, Jaqueline needs to work on her defense against a powerful serve that Madison has and maybe that 3rd set could have happened.
The very next match, Wang Qiang took Madison to a 3rd set tiebreaker. I was watching this match bit by bit because I had 2 NBA games and another tennis match on at the same time but it wasn’t hard to see that Madison was struggling against a rally player again.
The next match Badosa literally was horrible. Straight trash. Badosa looked like her self in the early part of last season. I guess I can say Keys took advantage of the mishaps. So I will give her credit.
But some credit isn’t always good because now she has to go up against Barbora who can play terrific rally defense and setup winning shots in the same motion.
Barbora is the better technical tennis player who will definitely test Madison keys weak back hand. Azarenka has a similar game to keys because of the power shot ability and Barbora was able to fight that off with ease it looked like. Azarenka starting to complain about neck discomfort and called a medical timeout but we all know she was trying to lower Barbora’s momentum.
The line on this match shows Vegas is hunting for sharp action on keys. I always acknowledge the sharp bet first and then put everything together. Tons of individuals will be chasing the sharp line on keys without actually knowing how she has been performing in her wins.
Krej Should be -180 and higher here. She has the more complete all around game and is extremely capable of throwing Keys off balance like she did against a “In-form” Azarenka.

I appreciate this write-up. Do you give any bearing to the fact that Krejcikova is still alive in women's doubles and played yesterday?
Yes she just beat my girl Collins. Barbora’s body is used to the increase amount of playing time. She’s a multi tasking skillful women. I honestly think Krej will take the number one spot this year. She is the perfect face for WTA. Barty has the best slice in the game and uses it to her advantage but when it comes to overall performance and visual outlook, Krej takes the cake

Bad match-up for Madison. Krejcikova is the more versatile crafty opponent with a better all around game. Keys is vulnerable against these kind of opponents. Keys’ worst flaw is her inability to keep her power under control at times. When she loses, it is often due to her opponents provoking her into hitting too many unforced errors while she is aiming for winners, and Barbora is great at drawing them by making her opponents feel uncomfortable. Krejcikova has a strong return game, and mixes it up well on the baseline. She will put too much pressure on Keys and you will see too many errors come off her racquet. It's just a bad match-up and I feel more confident in the consistent Krejcikova to win the big points in this match.
Good luck Todd. Like the play

Badosa was awful Krejcikova gets no respect betting Azarenka because Azarenka was injured. Anyone that watches WTA knows Azarenka does this regularly for he advantage and has miracle recoveries and gets reset and wins but she is loved by the media and is an elder so she doesn't get called out for it. She never has an injury when she is blasting an opponent off the court but when struggling she always seems to have a strange injury that increases if the injury stoppage doesn't help her or disappears if she gets back into the match and wins. It doesn't appear in the next match unless she is up against again. Already placed my bets with Krejcikova. Keys has had the pretty road and her match vs Wang was one of the worst by both players in the tournament but the gushy go Team USA dopes at ESPN called it gutsy and how she has grown. She was terrible and would have lost to most players in the match.
God is Good and the Ball don't Lie.

Nice write up and a supposed insider claimed Badosa was dealing with an injury. She had nothing on that serve and was returning ball in the Center of the court for keys to bash. GL

Literally has zero stamina, I tailed and don’t blame you, but it’s disappointing to see her not even have the energy to really compete…basically only going for balls hit right to her and then trying to hit winners from bad angles because she’s too tired to rally.
