Sorry for the late posting.
The champion pair at this Cincy WTA 1000 event will earn $312,740, and the runner-up team will split $169,888.
The difference for winning or losing this match today is around 45,000 US dollars (22,500 for each player).
What this tells me is that both teams’ will be putting forth maximum effort, hustle and fight.
Both teams make their living similarly and they will be both just as focused and fighting just as hard (which for me takes away the home court advantage).
Note* all of us in sports wagering detest, hate and truly are upset when the team or person that we wager on comes out uninspired, lethargic, lackadaisical and has no fight in them and only goes through the motions. We all despise performances like this and generally swear off to ever wager on this team or player ever again.
There are many such players and teams that fall into this category.
Well today we will get a highly contested match form both teams.
IMHO here’s the difference for me in selecting Krawczyk D. / Schuurs D. to win today.
Note* Taylor has been working for the tennis channel as an analyst this past year or so and all her tennis channel colleagues will be watching, critiquing and analyzing her play so she will not lack for preparation, inspiration or fighting spirit in her efforts today. However I feel the pressure for her will be too much to bear.
Krawczyk D. / Schuurs D. were seated #4 in this tourney so their ‘form” and consistency has been their as their doubles ranking is 8 and 9 in the world where as Taylor is ranked 7 and Parks 42 in the world.
Both teams are led by left-handed players (Towsend and Krawczyk) and Parks and Schuur’s are right-handed so no advantages here.
Recent form Krawczyk D. / Schuurs D. recent form and consistency will overcome any hic-ups. They W/L record most recently is 12-3 and they have won a tourney recently on grass at Eastbourne and got to the final last week at Montreal and had chances to win that tourney also (losing 2-1)………….which tells me that they are focused and fully prepared for the big matches.
Anyway, that’s my take and my money is on Krawczyk D. / Schuurs D.
Whatever happens it will be an enjoyable match for me to watch.
