imho the rain break helps Cilic. I don't believe he's the likely winner, but the more an uninterrupted match here wore on the more I'd have expected his level to dip quicker than DP's, thus setting the stage for a DP win. A break allows both to equally recharge their batteries, but for me that suits Cilic since I see his battery draining quicker over the long haul. For example, had this match not been interrupted and DP won the 1st set tb, then to me that would set up a dip in the 2nd set for Cilic due to his "battery" wearing down quicker + his disappointment at losing a close 1st set immediately weighing on his mind. Now it's the case that even if he loses the 1st, he'll lose it in like 5-10 mins of play tops, thus it will be more quickly forgotten about and costs him much less in mental/physical fatigue come 2nd set intentionalities, making DP's quest to win that set a lot harder. Essentially the 1st set imo now has much less bearing on the 2nd set result. And if Cilic wins the 1st set, where his battery still would've been running on lower juice given no interruption therefore making DP's quest to even things at 1-1 after 2 easier, now with the interruption he'll be "as good as new" after completing a 1st set win, giving a much better chance (due to higher levels of energy) of winning the 2nd.
Tiebreaks are a lottery anyway, but this particular tie break is now a complete coin flip given it might last only 2 points upon resumption. DP serves next (once), and if Cilic wins that point, he'll then have 2 serves himself: the 1st to win the set; and even if he loses DP's service pt, if he holds his own serves he'll still have a SP on DP's next serve. As I see it the match restart point serves Cilic better than it does DP re this 1st set result. DP has to restart things cold, on a phenomenally important point: he's expected to win the pt because he starts it, so Cilic with no expectations gets to be the one to play that point loose. Finally, Cilic was up 5-3 in this tiebreak and DP was the one on a mini-run with 2 straight pts won. The rain halted his mini-groove, he's the one of the two who'll have the negative thoughts/regrets about play being stopped. On the psychological front, the Croat has to feel like he's playing with house money, and the player in that position is always the most dangerous to bet against.

I repeat for the million time, nobody does the reverse jinx better than the peoples champ ...NOBODY.
Delpo holds off 3 bps to go down a double break, breaks Cilic, holds, and now is 15-30 on Cilic serve...Delpo is back baby
