Same can be said of the PGA ...but would you rather win the Masters or the PGA?
Historically, many of the top players didn't play in the AO. To compare it on the same level as the others is just not realistic.
The players might enjoy the tournament and love the environment there...but lets call a spade a spade...they would rather win any of the other titles before the AO
Exactly, Sparty.
Don't bother arguing with this guy. He's probably some kind in his 20's that only started watching tennis last year. Anyone who follows the sport knows that the AO is the least prestigious slam and anyone who has won it would gladly trade in their trophy for any of the remaining three majors!

Not really ....in tennis, any grand slam is still a major and if you ask the players, quite frankly they dont care which one they win as long as they win em and have some slams under the belt.
Ultimately, at the end of their career, they're not going to be judged by winning which type of slam, just the total number of slams.
Bingo....

No offense but coming from the guy who shows up 1 or 2 days every major. You're chatting with guys who are on the tennis forum everyday and have watched tennis for years. You're way out of your league here bud

That just means I'm less of a degenerate not that I know less. I've watched tennis for over 30 years (Mac vs Borg was the first match I watched), so take that.

Less of a degen....? You have 5,000 posts in 2 years.... Just cause you watched a match 30 years ago doesnt mean you keep up with it and know what you're talking about. Most of your comments have been ripped apart on here. So take that

Just because you watched tennis back in the prehistoric ages when they used wooden and aluminum racquets doesnt make you an expert. Today's game is much different with the equipment, speed, and strength of the modern players.
It's probably why you've been losing .....you're still stuck in your outdated ways, you can't cap the modern game.

Betting tennis day-in day-out is for action junkies: everyone knows that. I'm selective with tennis. Just cause I'm not in here talking about and betting on challengers at Uzbekistan, doesn't mean I don't follow the sport. Unfortunately, most of my posts are in response to turds like you, who can't accept when they are wrong. But I gotta stop that. Just hate seeing the person who is wrong get the last word in. The AO is not on the same level as the other slams. Sparty is 100% right. Since you don't believe us, here is a quote from a bleacher report article:
"The Australian Open was always played at the end of the year. However, in the interest of making it more prestigious, it became the first major of the year, with less players skipping it.
Every year, this tournament takes place in Melbourne, Australia, on hard courts at Melbourne Park. Its earlier location was Flinders Park, an area that was composed of grass courts.
It is widely considered the least prestigious Grand Slam, but it's a major nonetheless."

Lol I cant believe you keep trying to defend yourself like this. Im surprised your twin Scal hasnt come in here to help state your case. You do great write ups for NBA and NFL and I respect your opinion greatly in both. Just think your over stepping your boundaries a little bit here and are making irrelevant points to the argument. My point was that its not comparable to the PGA Champ, like sparty said.

Btw calling someone a little turd shows just how immature you are. And makes me doubt you've been watching tennis "for 30 years" considering your acting like your 20 at best

You're right. Sorry about that. Let's talk tennis respectfully. Good luck.

i didn't read the whole thread but i remember when begginerboy first got here he would ask people like professional ALL the time about what his plays were
so if you ask me, he must not know much about tennis if he's asking others for plays

You are mistaking not knowing about tennis with not knowing how to gamble on tennis (two totally different things). But that is typical of you. I was new to betting on tennis and wanted advice, which is how one learns.
