I like the odds at +175 for a player on a 7 match W streak. Yes Badosa is the defending champ and playing well, but Leylah shines brightest on big stages and I don’t think Badosa is the one to stop her. I think Badosa gets frustrated tonight and gets beat mentally.
Maybe, we’ll see
Who’s with me???

I was actually thinking the opposite and that the value was all on Badosa even at -225. Badosa was already super frustrated last night vs. Sorribes and persevered very well through it. If you watched it she was absolutely on fire, literally blasting away what should have been winners 3 or 4 times on almost every point, it just so happened Sorribes was playing her frustrating chase everything down and lob it back style at her highest level as well. Once Badosa was able to break her down and take the 1st set it was an absolute steamroll job in the 2nd.
I think for a large part Fernandez is still massively overrated because of her US Open run. If you look at who she’s beaten on that 7 match run they are not elite opponents and was totally gifted the match by Anisimova. Badosa is a huge step up and I don’t think Fernandez has anything in her game that can damage Badosa. Paula will cruise.

Lot of money must be coming in on Leylah. Badosa is down to -175 just before the match. Either the books know something or it’s gonna be a bloodbath…will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Books don't know anything more than you or me...how do people still believe in the all knowing boogie man behind the counter in 2022 when it sports betting has never been more transparent from all angles

So you don’t believe there could have been any inside information? Like a possible injury or something only Badosa’s inner circle knows about (and that the powers that be were able to ascertain)? Yeah because that never happens…and there’s no such thing as insider trading either, right?
There was no logical reason why Badosa was lined that small a fave, and that the line even moved further against her up to the time of the match. Must have been a shit ton of people/money on Leylah…hence the so-called bloodbath.

I mean I did offer two alternatives…

I think a logical explanation could be that a bunch of fair weather tennis fans bet Fernandez once they saw she was about to start play because, "Dude, she's that chick who almost won the US Open last year. I've never even heard of this Badosa!" I feel like familiar names always get money poured on them close to game time by people who aren't taking this stuff seriously but happen to see them on TV.
AO 2022 provided a perfect example of this: Leyla and Routliffe were absolutely massive favorites over Cabrera and Hon, despite Leyla not being known for her doubles play.

all I can say is that when Leyla is serving she has that latina "Ima fuck ur husband and take all his pesos" look. When BadassOssa serves she has that "I got to find a way outta the Spanish wife bend over bitch...its Daddy time" life. BadAssOssa gets my plata everty time. Not gonna overthink this about Vaginal tenis, but anything with a vagina in Europe has 2 choices: get brutally fucked by a Slavic retard with a Vodka problem, or play REALLY good tennis and live in Monaco as a millionaire with a French negro boyfriend. Motivation? Place ur bets accordingly.
