Lets just talk absolut the fact here..
We have Bencic Olympia Champion, Top 10 rakning in the world (#12 before US Open)
She is in the best form of her life 13 wins in her last 14 games. 8 of this wins have been agianst top 25 players.
On the other side we have Emma Raducanu 18 year old, reached round 16 in her first slam as a wild card and now quarter final in her second slam!
But who has she actually played against? She beat the #43 ranked Rogers 6-2 6-1, total tank from Rogers side, she couldn’t recharge after that win against Barty.
Looking at the numbers Rogers had 29 (!!) unforced error in only 15 games.. like starting 0-30 in each.
They both had 9 break chance each, just that Emma saved 8 and Roger only 4…
So who else did she beat… #41 ranked Tormo who I’m not sure what she was doing.
Back in Wimbledon she beat #38 and #39 ranked Cirstea and Vondrousov but was outplayed against #46 Tomljanov. So she has never played anyone ranked higher than #38.
I think the level between the top 10 and 40 players is huge! Especially in a grand slam quarter.
It will be interesting to see Emma play against the best, but I think she is way over here league here and it will be an easy win for Bencic.

Emma is 18? Thought she was underage which is why I was unable to watch her matches. I guess I can ask her to marry me now....wohoo! Romanian/Chinese parents. She is adorable (and NOT underage!!!!) You sure right? I have gotten into trouble with this in the past.

"It took everything I had to beat Barty. I guess that was a little apparent today," Rogers, 28, told a news conference.
"The tank was a little bit empty. She [Raducanu] has been doing a lot of great stuff but I don't think she had much of a challenge today.
I think WTA is so desperate for a new shining star on the tour and Emma tick all the boxes. If she would have got a normal draw as a wild card against a top seed in Wimbledon and here in US open no one would talk about her today. But now thanks to easy draws she is now a top 100 player by just playing 7 games?
I'm not saying she is a bad player but compared to Leylah Annie Fernandez who is also just 18 and won French open for girls, she had to win 60 games over 3 years to reach top 100.
The game is being played tomorrow so we will have to wait and see.. but still not convinced about Emma

Bencic has played 8 games on hard in US after she won the Olympics she won 7 of them all 2-0. The last time she played US Open 2019, she reached the semi-final.
She won 4 of 5 games 2-0, including Osaka and Vekic in the QF and R16 before losing to Bianca in a very close game in the semi.
Emma has lost 5 games this season 4 of them have been 0-2.
In August just a month ago Emma did struggle against players like Clara Tauson #78, Liu Claire #100, Niemeier Jule 146, Van Uytvanck Alison #68, Gorgodze Ekaterine #163 and Parrizas-Diaz Nuria #95.
Emma's 2nd Serve Won is only 36.8% compared to Bencic's 47% and then Bencic has played top 20 players most of the time compared to Emmas matches against 40-150 ranked players.
Please can someone tell me what I'm missing here, now the odds is 2.64 for 2-0.. I'm going to ape in more now!

Another fact for you.. Emma has only been underdog in 4 games times this year (Tha'ts how easy draw she has had) and she lost 3 of them. the only time she won as another dog all year was against Tormo.
I can see a lot of smart money is now moving to Bencic... all the retail have been betting on the Hype as always...
