Who is going to take it???
jumping on NADAL +160
GL TO ALL
Medvedev was a heavy favorite from the start to win this. Nadal was +550 in the final field of 16. At that price it just appeared to be too much value. (as if, he's not winning) I know he wants to make up for last year when he lost in the quarters while playing injured (back) The "Nadal" factor is a huge factor psychologically. If you like Nadal this may be one of the final times you get him with a legit shot at a price. This is not a basketball game. You can forget about Nadal "looking ahead" to the French open. He always gives 100 percent of what he's got. I don't think Medvedev has shown his best in this tournament yet. This should me close.

If you like him to win the first set take it now. Your odds will be reduced if you bet him up a game. Alternatively, you can wait and listen to the commentary prior to the match to see if anything negative is mentioned regarding either player.

i was hoping he isn’t on serve 1st set. Think it’s too much of a gamble I geuss

I was gonna put a bet in for Medvedev, but it was so expensive that I took the first set instead. But then i realized that it's pretty often that the winner of the match loses the first set, so I bought out of it for the time being.
As one of the previous posters said, Nadal at +550 seemed like a good value, but Nadal actually isn't that great at the Aussie Open. He's only won it once, but maybe that has a lot to do with it being Novak's best major.
I've followed Tennis for much of the Fed/Nadal/Djokovic era, and I can really only remember someone in the final getting unusually high value winning once in recent times. I think it was Federer at +200 or something in his 2nd to last major title win.
So obviously to me, it's Medvedev or nothing.
And DoubleUpForLife in the NFL forum has got me thinking some conspiracy. Do they really want Nadal to grab the all time majors lead? If he wins the French, like he's done almost every year, he would be 2 majors ahead of Federer and Djokovic. And does the ATP really want that? Do they want Nadal to grab the all time majors lead because Novak got kicked out of the country for not being vaccinated?
Also seems like a changing of the guard year. We've got Nick Saban losing in the championship. We've got Bill Belichick having his worst loss in his career I think. Tom Brady out of the divisional round and likely retired. Big Ben retired, Rodgers and Wilson on the move. The Lakers being awful. The Atlanta Braves winning their first title in 25 years.
So I guess I'll lock it in now, even though it'll probably drop some more more later.
Ouch the Medvedev line just went up as I was typing this.
Nadal's body has been breaking down for years now. He doesn't have much left. I'll wait and see if the line goes back down a little later.

I just think having a Nadal win here would tarnish the chase. I don't think the ATP wants this to be remembered as the one that put Nadal over the top because the 3 time defending champion was healthy and willing to compete, but was not allowed to.
That's my angle here. Let all the casual bettors take Nadal at plus juice.

Although it wouldn't surprise me that someone has control and can manipulate those automatic out calls ....feel like there are some that are clearly wrong watching live and on replay..yet the close call is never wrong

@vaas187
I actually fell asleep and have missed most of the match to this point.
I don't think Federer poses a threat to Nadal anymore. This is likely Federer's last season at age 40. His body has broken down. He's just looking to finish up a thank you tour.

Congrats Nadal and over backers. I grabbed Medvedev live and was actually up a little bit overall, but I didn't cash out the wager fast enough. I was just hoping Med would hold that 5-5 game and I would have bought out the entire thing. But after he went down 0-15 it was an uphill battle.
