- Having never played on a clay court, does anyone out there think the whole "he can't play on clay" claim is over emphasized? When capping tennis, much is made of the clay surface aspect. Sometimes I believe it's given too much weight! But, I've never played on a clay court.

I played on clay court and its tough. One thing is that if you are good at top spin the ball, it makes it harder for the opponents to predict the bounce. For some reason points last alot longer on clay so being in shape and being patient is a must. It took me awhile to craft the slide.

Big hitters rarely win on clay, but the ones who have good drop shots, spins, play the angles, and the fit ones win
thanks,
yea, when I watched Gulbis play recently he had a lot of those backward spinning shots, slices, down pretty well. I've heard that power is negated on clay. Thanks again.

I'm "jungular10" over at TheRX. I like Zheng but I'm reluctant to place the bet. Men's tennis has been pretty good to me lately but the WTA is another story.

I didn't follow the opening line, so I'm not sure about that.
- welcome to Covers. I'll look for you @ THERX!
I've only begun to touch the WTA over the past 2 weeks this season. It's pretty tricky, but then so is betting on tennis in general. At least there are no ties!
GL
- in terms of that spread thing. a capper here, last week, told me to "always" follow the direction of the spread changes before game time in tennis. i had played against the line movement and lost, so that's how it came up. will be interesting to see what happens here - if the theory holds true in this spot.

Appreciate the info, Anent. Any thoughts on Isner/Almagro?
