if you take a player -X games and they win the match but get blown out in a set or whatever to not cover the spread, what happens?
example
you have fed -2 games against nadal
fed wins 6-4 0-6 6-4
so he wins 12 games to nadals 14 games, but still wins the match
do you lose your fed -2 bet?
sorry if this is a stupid question but cant find it on the website and dont feel like calling in and talking to someone who claims there name is Jeff but doesnt speak a lick of english

Correct you would lose that bet.
If you took Nadal +1.5 sets, you would win the bet. Fed -1.5 sets is also a loser.

Situational fades. I have been on the same side as him quite a bit lately, but when I'm not sure about a match, I'll fade him. Obviously when he raves about a -600 favorite I usually won't automatically bet the dog, but on close matches like these...I'll fade hm all day! I'm up quite a bit from doing so!!!!

Actually, this raises a different question. What if it were Federer at -1.5 games and the score was:
6-0, 6-7, 5-7
Federer wins 17 games to 14 games but losses the match. He beat the game spread so wouldn't that be a winner? I've never seen that happen but anyone know what the ruling is?

It's winner.
To answer the OP's question, the match winner is irrelevant in the outcome of a spread bet

Your making wagers and don't know the rules? Sounds like a good idea
my 2 books never do spreads as long ive been betting tennis for past 4ish years and just started to for the semi finals of "big" tourneys other than majors and majors too, so i was going to start doing the spreads but wanted to clarify my OP question
thanks for being yourself, why dont you go get aids, sounds like a good idea
