I took Federer big at &#x2B;140 at Pinny. It&#x27;s a 50-50 match, maybe even slight advantage for Federer considering it&#x27;s 3:0 in Grand Slams (1:0 in AO). Plus, Federer has already faced a couple of decent opponents and played pretty well while Murray has faced only mugs so far. I can see Federer taking the first set easily because of this.

I like Murray, the guy finally looks to have arrived as a tennis player after years of mentally checking out during big games.

He's looking as ripped and as fit as any tennis player I seen.
Seems to have built up his lower body fairly extensively the last 18 months and that strength has also helped his confidence immensely.
The serve is now the best I seen from him and his defensive side of his game is probably on par with Novak which is regarded as the best in the game.

Federer still has those moments where he drifts in and out of a game like we saw against Tsonga, it's to be expected given the accumulative hours he's spent on the court in comparison to his younger challengers but Murray's game is right now the best in the world alongside Novak and I think this one ends up going 4 sets with Murray coming away with the win.

When you are in the top 5, everyone you face outside top 10 is a mug. The only decent player Federer played so far is Tsonga, who took Federer to 5 sets. It wouldn&#x27;t have happened if Murray or Djoker played him

That slam h2h count is irrelevant now. Since the Wimbledon final last year Murray whipped Fed in the Olympics final and won the US open. The mental block in slams is now removed.

What about Djokovic vs Warinka.... Didn&#x27;t seem so scrub to me, even djokovic was in trouble. Murray has a mental weakness vs Federer, i&#x27;m not sure who will come out on top too hard to say. Olypmics Federer had a long match with Del potro before hand and it was just Olympics. This is a grandslam. Murray can choke vs Federer. He can beat Djokovic who is considered tougher but i&#x27;m not sure about Federer.

The slam h2h will not be irrelevant for a long time, sry mate. Federer is interested only in the slams, has been for the past 5-6 years. And Murray's mental block has not gone away, he still needs to prove the US wasn't a fluke. It took Djoker 3 years before next slam.

Murray hasn't even played a night season, conditions are different. He's been playing, training on Hisense a lot - considerably different as he, himself suggests in interviews. All of this means that it's very likely that Federer will take the first set. We know where this will likely lead :). Don't be surpised...just saying.

It took Djoker 3 years before next slam.&#xD;&#xA;That&#x27;s an irrelevant comparison. The Joker was only playing in his 2nd GS final when he won it for the first time. He then took 11 GS appearances to make his next GS final after that initial GS win. Murray is not going to take 11 GS before he makes his next GS final (this AO of course being his first since his initial win), whether he does in this particular AO or not. Murray was also playing in his 5th GS final when he won for the first time, so he paid far more dues than the Joker did in earning his first title. The Joker essentially paid his dues during that 10 GS lull he went through between GS final appearances, and once those dues were paid he became a regular finalist. Murray&#x27;s dues are paid, that&#x27;s an unarguable fact.

....dues? u gotta be kidding me. 2nd slam is almost as difficult as the first one. Especially in Murray's case where he has lost several finals. I mentioned Djoker only to say that it will be difficult.

I just don't get how you are all going against Federer at +money. Put aside the fact that he is getting "old"...his game/ability hasn't changed. He will play at a very high level till 35. On GS, he still competes with Djoker (50-50 record in the past 2-3 years). Djoker is still a notch above Murray...

&#xD;&#xA;So he showed no balls in the Olympic final, did he? A match Federer was on record as stating he most definitely cared about winning. Come the ATP finals, Murray had got what he wanted out of the year whereas Roger was off an Olympic failure &amp; a US Open failure. Pretty obvious who had more motivation at that point. It&#x27;s that result people should be ignoring instead of ignoring the Olympic finals result.
