Anyone ever notice when the higher ranked player is a small fav over a lower ranked player they tend to lose . (SOMETIMES OVER 100 SPOTS)

I notice when live betting the odds don't change the way they should when the fav is up a break( it's as if the books already know the outcome.)

It doesn't matter what form the player is in or the surface sometimes

The line seems to good to be true and most of the time it is

Rankings mean SQUAT. if you&#x27;re using them to structure wagers STOP BETTING NOW. So many variables go into a ranking.

I thought this applies to wtaAt what point do the rankings mean something .I never see a top 10 atp player lose to someone ranked 100 or higher in a meaningful tourny like wta

Applies to the sport in general.Nadal was a -1200 favorite and lost to Michael Berrer. At this level of tennis, everybody is capable of beating anybody on any given day. Had a few too many drinks last night? probably gonna play like garbage. Oh your girl dumped you, youre friggin the match up.In the WTA youre dealing with emotional and hormonal people. Thats why you see so many upsets. These women have to play through periods, pms, mood swings etc. Don&#x27;t focus on the rankings. Focus on form, surface, history, head to head etc.

totally agree. plus you&#x27;ve got to follow religiously, same with any sport. in tennis, another factor is back to back, and or extended set games. fatigue usually gets the better of players even the high-ranking ones. hence the lines. books feed off guys like you who think it&#x27;s a steal, cause you base solely on rankings.

it is gambling, if his method to the madness works for HIM, and gets him at least 60% why the hell not.  If you are going to study H2H and Form, that science can truly hurt just as much, you only put more time in and scratch your head harder when your wager loses.

U see it sometimes in the low Challenger tourneys, sometimes its worth a shot to take the lower seeded player, live bet after he loses the 1st set. Because the odds will jump even higher.

lopez ranked 36 vs Bedene ranked only 156

Hold on man iif the line is that low to begin with it should tell you somrhting.  Also, if a match is fixed at all, it would be for a huge underdog most likely.  At least &#x2B;300 or more.

Are you stupid?  I take it you weren&#x27;t a tennis player or have maybe never even played. When you are talking top 250-300 in the world, ranking doesn&#x27;t mean anything.  For example,  you could have a past great player who had won tournaments and was highly ranked get injured and in turn following year drop HUNDREDS of spots within the next year or two simply by not playing enough tournaments or matchups.Anyways, when comparing 36 rank vs 156, you really need to compare current form of both players, and strengths to weaknesses of both players.To say it fixed because YOU think the line is fishy, shows ignorance and a high lack of knowledge.  Complete nonsense.

For example, lleyton Hewitt (2 time slam champion) was ranked #1 in '01, '02, was #187 ranking in 2011. And if you remember just last year he defeated a Roger who would of been #2 or #3.

So bottom line is if you are basing your wagers on ranking, you have no business betting.
