Pera is not winning this match
@buttas
You're speaking from hindsight. Ostapenko was there for the taking, but (for presumably mental issues) Pera couldn't maintain her otherwise decent serving from the first 2 sets, and that took the rpessure off Ostapenko's service games. The world #1 will not be so kind in the next round.

Ignorant response ? I was simply just venting about bad quality play from Kvitova and a few other top 20 players in this tournament and you said I didn’t know enough about WTA , only Fools and clowns would bet on Kvitova. Once the match began it was evident Kvitova did not want to engage .. she got a break 1st game and gave it right back .. then never really tried hard after that . She didn’t get destroyed but definitely didn’t try very hard. Call me stupid if u want for thinking she could win before match started. I’m not a WTA phd .. but this is some bad play from the ladies last few years Most cant even hold serve , double fault constantly , miss easy winners and have mental and emotional breakdowns at the slightest adversity. I’m not here to get in a pissing match with anyone was just simply venting after a bad couple days of WTA. Think I’m done with WTA. GL to you

wta you’d do better betting blindly on dogs than waste your time betting juice even live. tons of matches where a girl will be up a set and a break and lose the match. Brady was up a set and early break today only to lose. massive dog odds at that point. not many can mentally handle even a little pressure. being up a break is pressure m, many times you’ll see a foot off the pedal and less aggressiveness and then once their broken start playing more aggressive, I call it the itf mindset to s of itf players when up a break look for opponent mistakes and end up getting broken back by the player down a break and playing aggressive to try and get the break back. anyway wta is a murderous sport for single betting in a hat case stick with dog or small fav but In actuality one should trade hedging is the way to go imo

Brady losing from a set up wasn't some meltdown that came out of nowhere. The Dane wore her down with endlessly long rallies. That's why her game fell apart in the middle of the 2nd set, she broke down under the relentless rally pressure. Beating Linette in 3 sets the round before also took a lot out of her as well (Linette is another counterpuncher that didn't give her cheap easy pts), so by the closing stages of the 2nd set here she was out of gas, that awful smash she missed at the net summed it up. Brady doesn't have the greatest ground game, she's like most attacking players in that she likes to win pts quickly and get service games over and done with. Wozniacki wouldn't let her have any cheap pts (even the ones she won), and her first serve wasn't good enough to earn a lot of cheap pts by itself (she only won 52% of her 1st serve pts - Wozniacki with the weaker serve won 63% of her own 1st serves).
People lose at this sport and just cry "it's a lottery." Guarantee no-one who does is willing to invest the time and energy to do the work to see beyond the seeming randomness of so many results. Brady lost this match to the Dane because she couldn't put Linette away in 2 sets. She played an unnecessary 3rd set in the 2R, and it bit her in the ass in the 3R. That, and the fact she did not serve well. Her game goes where her first serve goes. A rule that holds for them all.

But on one point I do agree, live betting is the way to go. And to anyone who gets into live betting, your first lesson is this: never be moved by a player going up 2-0 in the 1st set. It means nothing concrete about anything that is to come. Always see 4 games in before doing anything. You're welcome.

I’m not trying to be disrespectful like u were to me earlier .. but you seem to have this you are a genius WTA bettor and everyone else are idiots . What is the reason Rybakina lost earlier ?!let me guess Rybakina does not like playing under the lights It would be great if you posted all your winners before the match ended ! This sport is a lottery and you know it. I suck at it cause I take moneyline favorites before match and in game… I’m willing to own that I should take underdogs instead of favorites cause WTA is a wild swing lottery.

Where in my latest response did i call the poster I responded to an idiot? I reflected earlier on why my initial tone of response in this thread was what it was, and I corrected myself.

If you read my previous offerings carefully, you wouldn't have asked that question. They contain its answer.
This sport is a lottery and you know it.
No, it's not. Not if you bet live AND do a mountain of homework to know about the players themselves. Most aren't willing to do that work, as I've repeatedly said. That's besides knowing the principles I laid out in an early post (about surfaces, style match-ups, etc).
What is the reason Rybakina lost earlier ?
Finally, it's difficult to respond to this because the match is long over so I'm going to get accused of monday quarterbacking no matter what I say. So I won't. I don't pretend to know why every loser ended up losing the match they did. But I do know Rybakina's never done anything at the USO previously (never been past the 3R, while at every other Slam she's made the QF at least once), and that holds true after tonight's result. Cirstea's main weapon is her serve, and it functioned consistently well throughout the 3 sets she played (63% of 1st serves in, 66% of those won). Rybakina's serve waqs not bad, but significantly worse than Cirstea's (55% of 1st serve pts in & 55% of those won). But if you're not betting live and rather pre-match betting, these are things that can never add positive insight into your bets. That's the non-live bettor's loss.

I know you did rescind your statement about me not being knowledgeable enough to bet on WTA and I appreciate that … but there is no reason to be on this high horse that you are far superior to any of us minions who bet on WTA casually.

a part of me wants to engage but it's obvious tolstoy doesnt know what he's talking about and is very results oriented making claims that have no bearing. I'm sure if he posted his bets prematch you'd see how awful he truly is.

Ad hominem is cheap and easy, mere farts in the wind when backed up by nothing. Also, someone obviously lacks reading comprehension. Pray tell, what pre-match bets should a live bettor cop to? Aside of course from the rare one actually posted in this very thread (a huge dog that unfortunately wilted in the 3rd, but provided nice opportunities in live betting to compensate for the pre-bet ML loss)?
