Very interesting match with Caro being the heavy (understandable) favorite here. Understandably so, she has been playing some of her best tennis for a long time. Honestly, the last time i remember her playing as good as right now was 2 years ago when she made her run to the final here in NY.
Playing mostly error free with extra pace on the forehand, she is showing ability to flirt with lines with accuracy and consistency.
Her number of winner is also relatively impressive considering we all know Caro is barely hitting winner. She has hit 75 winners through far to 66 UEs. That's just very good. To make just a non sense comparison, Halep has hit 72 Winners and Kerber 44. Serena is far ahead with 117.
Sevastova is right in the mix with 70 winners but she has made 84 UEs. Talking about the Latvian, she has been one of the many nice story of the tournament. She is through to the quarter by upsetting some big names like Murguruza and Konta in straight set. She has been very impressive, playing adventuring tennis with risk and great shots. Nerve is starting to come around in the closing moment but she managed to come through so far.
Ashe doesnt scare her as she will play her third match of the tournament tonight on this court.
H2H is irrevelant to me as they havent played each other since 2011. But for the record, Wozniacki hold a 2-0 lead with both straight set win.
