Brings...have you looked at the Gracheva match...she is-120
Yep, I like it
Some initial early thoughts on Cleveland players today:
Varvara Gracheva- She is better than Iga. Ok not really but at least she was for about half a set. The Iga loss was practically a win for her. I don't know that I've ever seen a losing player with a bigger smile than hers as she walked off center court. I would expect her to come into this match with some boosted confidence against JBM, whose Cincinnati performance included losing in qualifying before earning a last minute LL spot, and beating another LL before easily falling to Svitolina. JBM made it out of qualifying here by beating a pair of 300+ players.
Jacqueline Cristian- We haven't seen Her Grace play on hard courts in a bit but she did have some positive results over the summer and maybe she can build some hard court confidence here in Cleveland. Greet Minnen lost in the final round of qualifying to another Romanian, Ana Bogdan. Minnen was the #1 qualifying seed though so it is possible that she knew she already had a LL spot secured before that match. Seven days ago Minnen withdrew from a clay challenger match with an ankle injury. Cristian is 2-0 h2h. Odds are basically a pickem here, I would need someone with a very compelling case to talk me out of Jackie.
Peyton Stearns- She's played well the past couple weeks as most of you have seen, with her last two losses coming against two very in-form players in Pegula and Badosa. She looked nervous and tight at the start of her hometown match against Badosa and was never able to recover from an early deficit. Perhaps she can find some redemption at another home state tournament. Looking at the field she has at least an outside chance of lifting the trophy at +1400 odds. Most of Uchijima's hard court success has come at the ITF level and she provided little resistance in her previous two losses to Samsonova and Krueger.
Leylah Fernandez- It's hard to know exactly what to expect from Leylah after the heartbreak in Cincinnati but the way she fought there and the fact that she stayed in this tournament after a deep run indicates to me that she wants to make the most of the hard court season and keep some momentum going for a possible USO run. Bogdan hasn't played well this summer but she did pick up a couple qualifying wins here, one over a bad Shelby Rogers and the other over Minnen who may or may not have been giving it 100%. If I decide to pass on the game spreads for Stearns and Fernandez then a ML parlay might be possibility.

@bringit
Love when we’re on the same page I had already locked gracheva it’s been a long time since she’s been in this form, also going with your girl right after, with the wind I think her power game will be more effective vs minnen’s finesse game

Man I misread that match... Gracheva up a break in the third set and has a f****** meltdown piece of s***
She should be embarrassed getting beat down like that by Clay Court player

Good for you lol. I spent a good deal of time contemplating 2-0 sets, -4.5 games, or under 20.5 games. After the first set I wished I had taken the games but everything still looked good. Then she drops the second 1-6 but I found solace with my decision knowing the game spread and total were basically dead too. Then she wins the 3rd 6-1 to easily cover the spread AND stay under the total games in a 3 set match!
