If she's a slow starter, how has she 
(1) managed to win the 1st set of her last 2 Slam finals? 
(2) managed to win the 1st set in her last 4 meetings with Stephens (losing an avg. of only 3.25 games in the process)? 
(3) managed to beat the woman with the best record at Roland Garros since 2014 (Muguruza @24-4) by a 6-0 1st set scoreline?

All 3 of those contexts (Slam finals/facing Stephens/facing the toughest player to beat at this venue the last 5 years) are directly relevant to this final, and Halep's stats from them say exactly the opposite of your assertion: far from being a slow starter, she's been a fast starter. So, she is not ALWAYS a slow starter.

My bad - my memory was off for the AO final, where the Dane not Halep won the 1st set 7-6. Still you can't tell me someone losing the 1st in a lottery that is a tb started that set "slow".

Your comprehension skills don't exist. Read the last sentence I wrote again. All the stats provided destroyed the notion she's ALWAYS a slow starter.
