This is tournament I've been focusing with. I've noticed that it seems to be playing favorably to the taller players like most indoor courts. The conditions seem to be slow to medium paced, but I am not sure about the speed entirely.
There is some evidence about the the tournament favoring taller players. The tournament has been played on Indoor clay since 2009, and before that was Indoor hard 1978-2008. I believe the indoor hard court tournament could have played at a similar speed, and the tournament is just designed in this way by German Organization. It's always a nice tournament in my opinion, and you typically get the best female players going there. I would compare it to Monte Carlo.. The first huge clay event of the year.
So here is the past winners that I noted, and alot of these are the big hitters and taller women. I won't name all the winners who don't qualify, but I did notice a pattern.
Julia Goerges won in 2011. She is 5'11 height.
Maria Sharapova won the tournament three times in a row 2012-2014.
Pliskova 2018
Kvitova 2019
(Additional taller players who made the finals since 2009. Sabalenka three times, Coco Vandeweghe, Mladenovic, Wozniacki, Ivanovic, and Dinara Safina).
Keep all this in mind. I did just win a live bet on Marketa vs Sabalenka but she is an indoor specialist. So I was taking that into account, and I should have won alot more on her because I had chance to really hammer it. The match was back and forth throughout.

I hope that insight is helpful for future bets placed on this tournament. So I wrote in another post that I am debating between Marketa Vondrousova and Marta Kostyuk to bet. and thought only one of them might win.
Encountered this problem many times. There is two nice plays, and then you can't decide who to wager on because one of them will lose but both of them end up winning anyways. Parlaying them together is the most profitable strategy if there is a way it can be done, and still hedge the single bets to win money also.
Anyhow. Kostyuk does qualify in this taller system of Stuttgart, and she is playing well. She commented post match interview that she is in much better shape than earlier in the year where she played epic 3 sets vs Cori at AO. I do think Gauff is good on clay courts but something about her style is not conducive to indoor courts because she is not always very aggressive, and the serve is not top quality for a female player in my opinion. So having said that.. I am taking a long look at Kostyuk winning, and believe she is very motivated. Also you can say if she wins then it's the biggest win of her career surely over #3 world ranked player. It did seem like she is having injury problems months ago or constant complaints on the court especially when she is losing.. She looked healthy to me in her last match even though there was a bit of this going on after the second set waiting for Zheng to come back on court. And then her stating that her shape is much better than early in the year gives me enough reason to consider backing her at a nice price point. I have not bet this yet but will likely to do so, and soon. Luck!

Waiting for In play on the Kostyuk - Gauff match.. I have sort of talked myself out of the idea. Gauff is the better player, and this tournament seems to producing all the best players advancing, and grand slam champions. Seems too much like a trap but maybe something in play if GAuff doesn't look confident only.

you can disregard my previous post that said I'm waiting for in play. I am involved on Kostyuk , and if she wins.. I have something else lined up that I"m going to hammer.
