Just joined this site and found about about this streak contest. At first, I thought that giving up 7 points at home was a lot, but when I checked out Brooklyn's recent home losses, it seems that they are not always losing at home, but losing by more than 7 points. So it does seem like a good pick.

Contest winnings are not gambling winnings so he would not be able to deduct his hedge bet. I hope he wins the $100k but why not take at least the $25k he has already won and put it on the Nets. I believe there is no state income tax in Florida like us here in California so the tax hit is not as bad.
How on earth does one deposit that type of money with huge red flags and records with your bank? It's not an option for some people.

Taxes should be with held prior to being paid his contest winnings. My post was as a suggestion to protect his winnings. It's fine that you don't agree with me. We both do agree that winning the additional $75k would be sweet. GL Brackson!

Taxes? Thought this was paid from Canada, so if live in USA no pay taxes unless they somehow report to us ..um, nevermind, whatever bank you deposit will report the funds to IRS.

Well. I came here to say Thank You, after about 4 months of slowly bleeding out, I am back in the black. yes sir, Mr. Burd. My first real black ink in over 4 months. Playing, studying, day in, day out.

Nice writeup of the Portland-BKN game. It seems that all the trade rumors and the team being on the selling block finally broke Nets back. Those b2b losses by 30+ points were pretty unacceptable. My only concern is that the Blazers sometimes start slow, sometimes way too slow. GL.

Nah not me I'm Unstoppable! I'm going for it all Brotha and If I don't make it I'm good with the $26K. Think about this. You gotta borrow the money, fly to Vegas because you can't do that online. Limits are too low and it would take too long to get paid at least with Bovada. All the last minute arrangements to fly to Vegas or if you're in on the East Coast that dump you guys call Atlantic City. Too much stress and BS for me not to mention the whole Tax issue on that losing Hedge bet trying to subtract that from your winnings with the IRS. Good luck with that. it does make me wonder something though..... why is it that covers can issue a check for 100k to a usa resident, yet offshore books only send a max check of 3k when u want to withdraw winnings
