There are a few different sites with contests like this, and sometimes I root for a guy who is approaching the jackpot, but other times the guy comes across as a jerk so I hope they lose. But Branson13--strictly a class act. I hope he has a few more wins in him and hits the 25. I had a little W7 until last night when I had the opposite play of yours--I shouldn't have messed with the guy with the blazing hot hand.

To the guy saying that Boston is "tanking" for lottery pics: People throw around that word way too much..That is not how it works, the players have contracts and will still play to prove their worth no matter what their teams record is. Alot of those players may not even be on the team next year so are they really going to jeopardize their future value by losing on purpose so the team can have a higher draft pick next year? Would you? The tanking happens by the front office not acquiring the necessary talent to compete..the players still play but the talent needed to win is just not there.....just thought I'd clear that up...anyways @Brackson13 great streak bro!! I'm rooting for ya...last couple nights I've found myself rooting your picks in more than my own wagers!! lol...Great Job and BOL tonight hope you cash that 25K!!!!!!!!!!

Go for it brackson13 i have faith you will win this one tonight without a doubt your on your way to the promise land Buddy Can anyone say 100 Cold Crisp Stack of $1000.00 DOLLAR Bills .....I.like your thinking as well,if its meant to be its meant to be you did`nt get 2- 20 in a row by just picking the biggest favorite`s of the day. i say Boston stays within the numbers and you are $24,000 more dollars richer ..Then the heat will be turned up a notch ,then 4 more and we all no what time that will be YEEEEE haaaa DRINKS ARE ON (BRACKSON13) TIME.....THE BEST OF LUCK TO YOU NO MATTER HOW FAR YOU MAKE IT BUDDY ,But i think you win tonight for sure Boston`s has the advantage tonight big time young and fresh legs against a dead tired team just barely trying to end a streak of losses and playing there 3rd game in four nights and without Aldridge there top scorer, Top rebounder and Boston will get them in the 4th quarter if not the third in this game tonight. Portland will be running on fumes,Boston i bet even wins outright tonight let alone +7.5 which is a gift big time ...I like this play a lot brackson13 well researched no wonder you made it this far LOL Boston themselves have not won in the west on the road for awhile either but that will change tonight timing could not be better Final score Boston 105 - Portland -103 That`s a rap fellows Brackson13 Best of luck Ill be siding with the Celtic`s as well I cant see this number staying here that long it will be dropping soon enough when everyone starts piling in on the celtic`s I quess time will tell JMO

Remarkable run. If you hit this, it'll be an accomplishment of Legendary Status. A streak of 21 in 22 days with a push. Hasn't been done before. Doubt if it will be done again. And then to win with BOS at PORT. Man, may the FORCE remain with you. And hoping a back door cover doesn't cause permanent physical damage before reaping your rewards. GL

Another thing to remember is that even if you don't get W21 & the 25K not only do you already have the 1K from getting to W17 you also have a good shot at winning the 1K for most wins in the month, I know it's not the 25K but it's still another thousand.

I just wish I have the fortune someday to be in your position. I have sympathy for your position of inability to hedge. I, on the other hand, live in Vegas and could walk 3 minutes out my door and place a hedge.
Regardless of when the streak ends, keep playing Brackson. I noticed you registered in 2007, but only have 51 picks in. You said your casual fan. Covers has greatly improved my capping ability. It should be able to help you too. Someday, fingers crossed, online wagering will be available throughout the USA.

@crackerwhack, you are spot on. the executives may be stripping the roster down in the hopes of freeing up money and getting the best draft pick, but the 22 year olds that are thrust into action are living out their dream, and would like nothing more than to take the opportunity they've been given and make a roster somewhere the next year as well.
@alilhelp, i don't think so. i'm pretty sure whenever you lock it in, it's done. if i lose by the half point, it's my own fault. never been very good at figuring out which direction nba lines were going to move. have a better grip on college football in that department.
@spazbite, a close friend and coworker showed me the article today after lunch. i don't feel any additional pressure. the fact that a win is worth $24k for me and a loss means that lots of other people will have lost their hard-earned money because i made a bad pick already had the pressure ratcheted up about as high as it can go. the article kinda added to the cool experience for me. i still can't quite tell if covers is trying to say, "hey...check out what this jackass did," or "wow. this guy is ballsy."
@all others, thanks once again for the outpouring of love. if you know anyone that knows someone on the celtics personally, please have them pass the word along. i had to leave work early because i couldn't focus on anything as predicted. headed to my trusted, local bartender and long-time friend in a bit for a couple of pre-game jitter-killers. kinda like these smiley guys, but with bourbon and a splash of coke.

@TEEA, whatever you're feelin. I don't have a copyright on the pick, so publish it wherever you want.
@people that want me to hedge, i get it. I majored in finance and i work for a company that hedges 100+ different commodities to make sure they remain as stable as possible. I'm quite familiar with the concept. I'm also american, which means it's not terribly easy or convenient for me to put money into my wagering account. so i'm not interested in raising the suspicion of my bank and the local or federal authorities because someone who was previously a regular schmuck suddenly withdraws 5-10k and takes it to the sketchy food depot to western union it to his "friend" in central america to get it into my book today and place the wager. When you are one win from $25k, by all means, do what you want. But i've stated several times that i'll be thrilled with the $1000 i already have if that's all i end up with, and that sentiment isn't going to change just because i'm one win away instead of three or four.
Love your attitude I just put $5K on the Celtics at +7.5 so we can celebrate together!!!!!! BOL

I feel bad for you Brackson cause I picked boston before you posted your pick and I am going for a career long streak of 7, I gotta say the odds are not in our favor. But I mean damn Portland is 8-19-1 ATS after playing phoenix and 0-5 ATS before playing Washington. I got a feeling you can pull this out

For all you hedge freaks, almost had a deal worked out through a friend that has money in a sportsbook at the moment. Greedy person wanted $1250 to place a $2500 bet. I offered 15% and he refused. I feel like $200+ for maybe 90 seconds of someone's time is fair. Told him no thanks, so i'm still 100% all in on the celtics. Go !
