LM, I'm truly sorry to to hear this. I really think that you have it right though. If you've made sure you've gotten the best opinions you can, and this is the way it's going to go, then all you can do is spend time with those you love. Show them that you love them and give them the benefit of everything you've learned.
Tell them your stories, tell them your life, and laugh. It will, in my opinion, be the best use of your time because it will make you happy and it will give your loved ones many reasons to keep you with them after you're gone.
Oh, and if there's anything you've never done, that you've always wanted to do--even if you feel like s**t--do you really have a reason 'not' to do it now?
Thanks for everything you've brought to us.
=)

God bless you linemover. My brother was handed the same sentence at age 35 with two little boys and a wife. Stay strong and keep your family and friends close.

I lost my mom when I was 16. She first had breast cancer when she was 35. She got treatments and god rid of it. Very painful, chimio and all, and she got clear. 3 years after, she got another cancer (lymph nodes) and went thrue the chimio process again. This time, it failed, and becasue she alrady took a chimio treatment before, her system was realy weak, and her veins where so thin she could'nt take another treatment so she was doomed. She lasted 6 month before she died at age 39.
I am the older of the children, my sister was 13 at the time, and my little bro only 11. It as been such an experience, grew up older the next day as I took care of the family. Despite the tragic loss, I became a man the next day.
Hopefully, you have great children who'll take care of each other and a loving wife that will remember you for the rest of her life as a fighter, and a person who beside a horrible faith, knew to smile at his family anf life as it is. You're a man to accept what's happn to you, and you have all the respect that a man can have from us here at covers, but from everybody else around you.
You take care my man, and spent the most memorable time with your family.
A big cheers for you, and a handshake to you my friend

This sucks dude, tell us what you have and maybe someone can give you some info doctors don't want you to know. How do you think Magic Johnson is Alive? Average Joe would have died 10 years ago.
