At this point, and I'm serious about this, I do think he should drop a 8 to 10K bomb on one game.

Why?

He's getting vigged out.

When he's not getting vigged out, he's losing in excruciating fashion.

When he's not losing in excruciating fashion, he's losing in general.

That has been the theme in the last half month even though overall he has a winning record (and that means nothing now).

If he tries to grind with his remaining bankroll I feel he will lose it all in about 2 weeks.

Why not one 8K/10K play on a game he caps for 10 hours and spreads the bet out over 4 casinos. If he wins, he'll be back at what, over 20K and then he can regain some sanity and go back to $500 plays and focus on paying his rent.

CG if you are reading this, I really think you should consider this.

You took your shot. It failed.

You have one more shot. One more big play.

Go after it with 10K and if you hit you have a new beginning in Vegas.

I'm serious when I say this.

I have seen poker players with thousands and thousands in front of them just let it dwindle away with chase bets and tilt bets hour after hour after hour. In CG's case it'll be sports bets and days.

Not worth it.

One play and try to renew your existence there in Vegas.

Hey Scal, wouldnt better advice be for him to save the 13k hes got left and go get a real job.  I mean telling him to make a 10k bet is just plain silly because, hes an awful handicapper with even worse money management skills.  No matter how much he ever won, going broke was always going to be his reality, because of those 2 things.
Real pros know how to make a line and break down a game, not surf the forums looking for other cappers to follow.

But with that said, i hope he takes your advice and makes a 10k bet, that way Vanzack can win his bet faster

Hey Scal,wouldnt better advice be for the guys slobbering all over every little mistake and set-back some internet stranger has to go and get a life of their own so they dont have to live vicariously thru college gambler after they probably failed miserably chasing their own dreams in their youth and are now sitting at home lonely with their fat,ugly wife they no longer love??(just a guess and WILDLY judgmental and speculative but thats kinda wat we do around here,right??)

1) no way in hell he'd cap a game for 10 hours
2) he would never go back to $500 if he hit

It's no man's land, but if he loses he's done.  Then it will take 15 years at a 8-5 job and  betting 20'bucks a game to get back to 13k.

CG -  You want to stay in Las Vegas.  Start betting using martingale theory, starting at $400 per game.  If you lose 5 straight games, you're done.  But if you could go a month without losing 5 straight... That's 10 g's man.  I really think you have a good shot at it.  A better shot than putting 10 k on a game.

And if you lose 10 k  tomorrow, you have to go home already.  At least with my strategy, you will last a while, and you will be making $400 just about every day.  That's approximately $2500 a week.  Dude, you won't lose 5 straight.  I mean eventually you will, maybe 3 or 4 months down the line.  But try it for a month.  It's fun too.  Because everyday you will be making money.  No negative days for the most part.  Martingale works as a short term fix most of the time.  

If you don't like this idea, go with Scals idea.  Just do a big bet.  One bet you have a 50-50 shot.  Lose 5 straight in the next month, I say odds are more in your favor.  Good luck.  

Remember Martingale is not good to do forever, because big losing streaks are inevitable.  But go one month without a 5 game losing streak, and its 10 k.   Everyday you make money.  The bleeding stops.

CG I'm sure everyone is giving you advice but I'm still going to throw this out there and I'm only saying it after watching a couple of your last videos:

STOP WATCHING THE GAMES.

Seriously man, you're hanging on every basket, every foul, every second.....and that shitt will take years off your life. Make one play and go do something for 2.5 hours and don't check the score once. Your quality of life will improve in addition to your clarity improving. Once the bet is made, it doesn't matter what and how it happens, only the final result matters. To do this long term you must remove your emotions completely from it and you my friend are on the highest of emotional roller coasters, hence my thoughts of your eventual demise. 

I honestly wish you the best but if I was setting the line for you going broke before football starts, no is a cool -750.

PS- Getting the best line (and it is important) in town means jack shitt when you're on the wrong side. And being on the right/wrong side pales in comparison to true money managament. And betting -110 constantly versus Pinny/Matchbook makes your job that much harder.

1.) I said way back in this thread it was better for him not to watch the games. Right away I could tell he was wayyyyy too emotional. Capping (whatever he does to cap) then relaxing without living and dying with each play would have better suited him for sure. And I said this way back when he was on a good run but could tell his emotions were due to get the best of him 

2.) Surely that line is flipped right? -750 he DOESN'T go broke?

I've asked this question about 500 times and no one has given me the answer. So I'll ask you Scal...

Lets say he makes this 10k bomb play and essentially comes close to losing every penny to his name...

Then what? Homelessness? Going back to NJ to live with his parents? You can't possibly tell a guy to drop his life savings on a game without knowing his backup plan if it loses. It's absurd.
