Stephon Marbury had to bite his lips when the Knicks faced the Magic last week as he only attempted 7 shots and missed the majority of those. Larry Brown laid into him on the court that night and Stephon was steaming but kept his mouth shut out of respect to Brown and more importantly, Marbury doesn't want to be traded. The two exchanged words a few days later when Larry Brown broke the ice and explained to Stephon that he needs to be more assertive and aggressive when leading this team. Once he starts to respect the attention of his opponent on defense, he would then be able to open up shots for his teammates and take control over the pace of the game. Stephon responded and responded well against the Bucks last game, dropping 23 points and 12 assists. Tonight he faced the Suns and put up 34 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds in a rare victory. It certainly appears that this talk may have finally got Stephon back into the frame of mind which once possessed him to shout out, "I'm the best point guard in the NBA". Finally it seems that Knicks fans and backers will have something to look forward to in the near future. ||thumbs_up.gif' border=0>
