    Hey guys,

Let me just say there is way to many people who think this team is the best thing since sliced bread and im here to tell you thats not the case. First off there was someone on the forum who was talking about how easy the 72 dolphins had it and im not here to dispute that but just take a long look at the patriots. the 72 dolphins opponets had a win pct% .365 the "07 pats pct% .432 which is likely to go down seeing as the dolphins or jets wont win another game this year and if the pats go undefeated that means another loss for pitt and the gmen so as you can see not that big a difference there. Next in 72 the dolphins won there division finishing 2nd was the jets 7-7 the 07 pats won there division finishing 2nd the bills who may not finish at .500%.
at the very best the pats may play 4 teams with 10 or more wins thats assuming the giants get to 10wins. compare that to the 85 bears who played 6 team with 10 or more wins. also look at the pats there not very good on defense unless there ahead by 21 they cant run the ball constintaly on offense when or if the weather gets bad in the playoffs then they are not much better if at all then anyone else because they are just like the '99,'00 rams a finese team. One other thing back in 72 the dolphins even though there were unbeaten had to go on the road to pittsburgh in the playoffs no such thing as homefield thru out the playoffs back then. So before you go off praising this team as the best ever make sure you get your facts straight.

First off you cannot compare this team to the 85 Bears, 72 Dolphins, 78 Steelers, or 89 49ers.  They haven't done anything this year.  As for the regular season though, they have been the best team DURING THE REGULAR SEASON that I have seen (following the NFL for abou 23 years now).  Yeah, they have had some close scares in recent weeks, but you aren't going to blow every team out that you play in the NFL.  I won't bet against them cleaning the sheet during the reg. season and on the way/at Glendale.

well let me say this if there the best team you have seen during the regular season the last 23 years then you have not been watching any football thats for sure.
again who have they beaten OH YES! they have beaten miami twice a team that maynot win a game this year very impressive they have beaten a jets team twice who will finish 3-13 thats impressive. the only teams worth noting that they have beaten are the colts and cowboys and even then the cowboys record is inflated because how poor the nfc conference is.
let me just say this those 90's cowboys teams would have crushed this poor pats team thats a fact. the 85 bears would have ripped this team apart. and the 89 49ers team would have run circles around them this i know....

again who have they beaten OH YES! they have beaten miami twice a team that maynot win a game this year very impressive they have beaten a jets team twice who will finish 3-13 thats impressive. the only teams worth noting that they have beaten are the colts and cowboys and even then the cowboys record is inflated because how poor the nfc conference is.
let me just say this those 90's cowboys teams would have crushed this poor pats team thats a fact. the 85 bears would have ripped this team apart. and the 89 49ers team would have run circles around them this i know....

It's much harder to go undefeated today than it was in the 70s 80s and 90s with the parity in the NFL.  2nd, the Patriots don't make their schedule, it's given to them.  They don't chose the teams that they play, they just beat them.  Were you alive for hte 85 Bears?  Did you watch their games???  I did (since I am from Chicago) and they really didn't peak until the playoffs when they beat the Giants and Rams (I believe they set the record for giving up pts in the playoffs that year and it still stands today).

    Mods /Covers Team,

Can we please create a seperate forum?  One for all the  who complain about the Patriots and their fans.

You gave us our own platform for the Pats (https://www.covers.com/postingforum/post01/showmain.aspx?spt=108)  maybe it's only fair you give all these posters a place they can call home.  We could call it the "Patriot Hell Forum" or something like that.

Say what you must be on crack! as yes i watched every game my man and just by your silly statement you most certainly didnt. saying they didnt truly get rolling until the playoffs well lets look at some of the better clubs that they played during that year in the regular season.

NEW ENGLAND (RECORD 11-5) BEAT THEM 20-7....
WASHINGTON (RECORD 10-6) BEAT THEM 45-10...
    49ERS (RECORD 10-6) BEAT THEM 26-10....
DALLAS (RECORD 10-6) BEAT THEM 44-0....
    MIAMI (RECORD 12-4) LOST 38-24
JETS (RECORD 10-6) BEAT THEM 19-6....

Also its harder today than it was in the 80's or 90's to go unbeaten man ive got the 800 number to the chemical dependacy center man get off that shit drugs they will fry your mind...Again who have the pats beat!!!

COLTS (RECORD 10-2) BEAT THEM  24-20
DALLAS (RECORD 11-1) BEAT THEM 48-27

Who else you show me had one guy say they beat the bills twice thats the same bills who are 6-6 and wont even finish .500%....I have to say beatng the bills twice very impressive!!!!

actually genious 6-6 after playing the best team in football twice is pretty impressive, if they played the bears twice they would probably be 8-4. clearly your a bears fan and since they blow you need to revert back to 1985, sad

Badlands, don't step down to his level.  He obviously has little knowledge of the game and is a total person, I mean homer.

A typical Bears fan's point of view.  85 Bears, blah blah blah, Payton's the best RB ever, blah blah.  Fucking moron.  I'm curious as to how much you are losing this year .  I post every week so don't say that I don't know shit beyatch.
I live in Chicago and most of you dumbfucks are the same.  It was great to go to 2 Bears games this year and witness them losing just to see 60% of the stadium leave at the beginning of the 4th quarter.  Wow, what loyalty lol.
If you can't appreciate what the Patriots are currently doing in this era of football, then you should try and bet ponies.

Well there goes the property valuesListen here dumb fuck yes im a bears fan and proud of it yeah they stink this year but its still my team atleast i dont look bears fans in the face and pretend its my team and then stab them in the back as you probably do. Anyway this had nothing to do with the pats and the bears just stating a fact that the patriots are far from being a great team as alot of you have suggested yes that have beat the colts and cowboys but who else no one of any merit and anyone who really believes that they are a better team than the "90's cowboys or "89 49ers teams has no clue what they are talking about....Thats a fact!!!!
