You are all so paranoid about showing your picks and someone copying your picks.....Contestants picks is not 100% accurate....why be afraid...Be proud that this people believe in your picks....It only means that you are the great handicapper...Sometimes even our top picks losses the game....Only the specific teams, player, breaks of the game make our selection the best or not....My top pick is boston -3.5...

rizz, the most interesting thing about this race is the arbitrary rules. were it just a regular contest, it would not be near as interesting. option, shmoption, picks gotta be shown. if someone can't figure out a way to out-maneuver his competition, he doesn't deserve to win a contest. in fact, imho when it gets down to the last four wins of the contest, those leaders should be allowed only the number of picks for the day to get them to the finish, disallowing make-up picks for incorrect selections.
'the ultimate race' needs more reasons to encourage yammering, not fewer.
rules is rules. long live the rules.

rizz,
the most interesting feature of this race is the somewhat arbitrary rules. were it merely a regular contest, it would not be nearly as interesting and entertaining.
option, shmoption, picks gotta be immediately shown. if someone can't figure a way to out-maneuver his competition, he doesn't deserve to win a close contest.

Leave the picks visible. If someone wants to copy someone else, who cares? They obviously won't gain ground on who they are copying. Working within the rules is all part of the strategy that makes the contest more interesting. If you are worried about someone ahead of you making the same picks to prevent you from catching up, then time when you make your picks accordingly, like right before the game. If I was near the top, I would review the picks of those ahead to pick from completely different games, to assure I don't have the same and have a chance to gain on them. Adjusting your strategy for these factors is no different than (as I believe someone alluded to earlier in the thread) how teams work the clock to their advantage. As long as it's the same for everyone, the game is fair either way, I just think that showing picks adds a competitive element that makes the contest better.

thats great idea hide your lossing picks to avoid embarassment...be proud if you get 4-0,3-1...in Hawaii...If people keep on copying ones picks they should be proud it only means that this people trust him alot....Those crying wolf are you sure that your pick is 100% accurate...Remember those on the top will go down and those that are in the bottom standing will go up...The ultimate battle field is just starting and the climactic finish remain uncertain.Who will be the best in Hawaii....Within the top 10 is good enough but to finish the race as champion meansalot....Wish you all the best...May the best contestant win..win...win....
