Its hard gaining ground on the leaders

The top leaders always go 4-0 everyday there's no chance at gaining any ground in this game since day 1, its like everyone is already eliminated from this game except the top 10 since there's really no movement on the leaderboard.

Literally only one in the Top 5 has gone 4-0-0 in back to back days in the last 5 days.  There were a couple in the 6-10 spots to do so, but that's how one GETS onto the front page of the leaderboard...one picks well. No one on the leaderboard is picking 100%, so you CAN catch up. When you go through 7 days of picks with only one day with 3 or more wins (like you have over your past 7 days), it is hard to gain ground. Since no one is currently over 70% on the FP of the leaderboard, consecutive days with 3 or 4 wins will gain ground for sure. It's just how it works. You can either wrap your head around that and try to remain positive or continue to pick and gripe about it...or just quit and do something else lol. 
The only way anyone catches up with the leaders is to pick every day and pick better...plain and simple. If one goes 2 and 3 wins back and forth they are basically only keeping pace without gaining. It currently takes going 3 and 4 wins (or a 3-day set of 2-3-4) to see the gap close with any consistency.  
I've been bitten by the push monster 6 times already along with weather-related voided plays. That's 2 days worth of wins that went up in smoke, but that's how I played them. Also, if you pick the same 4 as any particular user ahead of you on any given day, you, of course, will not gain on them.  Adjust and proceed. It's not a conspiracy or anything. We all have the same pool of picks.

Very well said! This still has a long ways to go, and nobody is going to go at 70% for this thing. I've had bad days, and good ones too. The pushes, especially in baseball, suck! I had a game rained out. I have made 2 winning picks off my phone, that somehow never were "picks". Just keep at it, is what I tell myself....

Hey Redsox...Focus on your picks and not the top leaders.....the leaders change almost every day...we will all have our good and crappy days...stay away from potential pushes.....( i.e., over/unders) and check the weather especially in MLB matches...except for Toronto...lol....if you want to compete...you need a 75% win to catch up...if not..do it for fun and learn for the next race....don't give up  ....have a great day!

The leader as of today is averaging only 2.76 wins per day.

69 winning % divided into the daily 4 games.

So you need to go on a run of at least 3 wins per day.

It really seems to be cut and dry looking at past results...you need to hit 60% for the contest...you should be in the money at that pace

As stated above, forget about those ahead of you. Just try to get better. My goal last year was to finish in the top 500 (I finished 379). This year's goal is top 250. It's been up and down (especially with pushes and voids). Funny thing is that you can have a bad night once in a while and not really lose much ground to those around you or the leaders. The opposite is also true. You can go 4-0 and climb the standing, but not gain on the leaders. Just got to stick with it and see it through, Plus you've got the weekly contests. One hot week and you can win a hat, hoodie and coffee cup. I did, and then I was so-so the rest of the contest. lol

don't be a wimp...fade the leaders.  what do they know?

or since you must not be doing so well,  you could fade yourself.

When I won the race, I was just short of 60% and had the lead for a good month an a half. I would guess at best you're looking at 63% for the winner and that is even high. Anything 63% or over and you just have to tip your hat and say well done.

YEAH, THE LEADERS DON'T HAVE JOBS. THEY WAIT FOR COVERS TO DROP A GAME FOR HALF HOUR TO -150 ! WEST COAST PLAYERS OUR AT A DIS-ADVANTAGE BECAUSE THEY MUST MAKE THEIR PICKS THE NIGHT BEFORE IN MOST CASES. FORGET ABOUT CATCHING THE LEADERS. YOU NEED TUNNEL VISION, TO GO 4-0 ! I WAS OFF TO A LOUSY START . MY LOW POINT I WAS (9) GAMES UNDER .500, SINCE THEN I AM (22) GAMES OVER .500. FORGET ABOUT THE LEADERS, PLAY WELL AND YOU MIGHT JUST GET THERE !
