Riz...  I absolutely love the Race.  I have one complaint.

Please remove Canadian Football from the mandatory picks.  I hate to sound like a complainer (which I currently am) but NOBODY watches Canadian Football.  To have to select this stupid game when there is a full slate of College FB is ridiculous.  It's almost as bad as adding WNBA.....

I mean, list it for the few that want to pick it, but i don't know one person who watches Canadian Football....  I can't imagine i am the only one.

The CFL is a Canadian tradition. They put out an entertaining product. Thousands of Canadians watch it,  probably Rizz too!

If you don't want to pick CFL, just wait until the starting time of the CFL game passes and then pick NCAAF. I did that today and picked Nevada -6.5 for an easy win (hopefully my first 4-0 day if the Stars can win as well).

i agree with Bonk i am from Canada and i absolutly hate the CFl !! it is garbage bullshit football that only the soft Canadians like.

It's just that time of year guys.  The Ultimate Race rules aren't going to change anytime soon but I can guarantee you that the next race won't have CFL..

  1. Thanks for listening.  It's nice to know that the guys in charge here aren't power obsessed madmen!

  2. My suggestion isn't that you remove CFL from the list.  Just that it not be mandatory to select a game (same as the WNBA.)  What if you had to select from 3 of 4 (or 5 sports?)
I am not trying to tell everyone what to pick nor am I bashing Canadian Football.  I just know that a large percentage of people probably do not watch it.  It's just hard to pick a game I never watch (same as the WNBA!)

The reason Rizz said the next race won't have CFL is because the Next Race will be during the off season of the CFL. You will get WNBA instead......hahaha.  

Hockey should be taken off, impossible to guess correctly, no logic behind some teams winning.

Read the fine print brotha..........

I can understand the CFL dispute and I usually just take the under in the game with the lowest spread(works for me currently) and I really like the suggestion from Yanidis in post # 4 of this thread. I'm also a little surprised that Mayor Rizzo announced that the CFL will be taken off of the forced choices since this site operates outta Canada for the most part.

But I'll be damed if I'm gonna sit by and have someone say removed the NHL from the selections just because they don't know how to pick NHL games, and not say anything about that. Your suggestion is absurd. The NHL is one of the four major pro sports and if you wanna get better at it than I suggest you study up. Hockey is here to stay. It's one of... if not THE best sports to watch and play. Just practice or follow others from the hockey forum if you have to... and keep your head up also.

It was a joke you naive moron.  

NHL has been very unpredictable this year.....I have never seen so many -140+ teams losing in any other sport.

And we are all guessing when we pick because we do not know all the variables that go into one game.

I couldn't agree with you more Bonk, the CFL is horrendous and is way to difficult to handicap. { something I started doing with the NFL back in 1970 at the age of ten / last 10 years playoff wagers: 89-21 }  HERE are examples from the last four games played. Montreal -1 ' away loses by 37, no that's not a misprint and arren't they one of the better teams. Calgary - 8 ' @ home loses by 5, another one of the better teams. Winnipeg - 6 loses by 19, the only one that doesn't make me scratch my head, Toronto had a better record. AND finally Saskatchewan - 2 ' away loses by 15, another one of the better teams. ALL = ????????????

P.S. It's also the only football played, on a field that has two 50 yard lines........... How f'n stupid !!!
