Wow, 2 NCAA picks?

I just made my 4 picks now, and only had 3 sports so I figured that I would only get 3 picks but it let me make a 4th selection...sweet ||thumbs_up.gif' border=0>

This is not a glitch... From the Ultimate Race rules: Participants are limited to a maximum of four picks per day, selecting any combination of sides or totals. Participants can select any game available on the Race game sheet. Pick options will change as selections are made - you will be required to submit picks across various sports What this means is: 1. Participations will be forced to make picks across a variety of sports to start the day. 2. Your pick options will change throughout the day as sports are dropping off the board. We will present different challenges to you. 3. Depending on the number of active sports for the day you may be limited to the number of sports you can pick from. For example, some days all participants may be limited to 1 or 2 sports as other sports drop off the board. Important Notes: - The contest rules are such that we have created a level playing field, as all users will be bound by the same rules to start each each day. The role you play is getting to the site as early in the day as possible - to make sure you get as many picks in as the other leaders. If your late to the Race - your options will change...and may not be to your advantage. Part of the "Race" challenge. - Like in any race, it is always in your best interest to arrive as soon as possible to get your picks in early. I dont know how the ref can sit there and say that the rules are set to create a level playing field. To all players just start skipping all major league spring training games to get an extra pick in basketball or hockey were they will actually play hard the entire game. I keep seeing from people this is a fair game its not, its suppose to be a contest to see whom the best handicappers are in making four picks across all sports, but its truly not the truth if did not bet any baseball games this afternoon you get to pick from sports you have already picked from, how can we say this is the best hadicapper who does not choose from four different sports. this needs to be fixed to make one pick/ sport when their four sports to choose from.

It should have been your 4 best bets to begin with. Betting a spring training game is a joke and you might have a guy who will be a mailman when the season starts pitching the last inning for you. But hey its free. So is a kick in the nuts but i don't like that either. Guess it is the thought that counts.

Go back and read rule # 3. "Depending on the number of active sports for the day you may be limited to the number of selections you can make. For example, some days all participants may be limited to 1 or 2 picks." The refs only problem was that they didn't start with this #3 from the above Rizzo post. ENOUGH ALREADY!

I'm Sorry. There are several threads running on this forum and each one seems to be addressing the same issue. They each seem to 'understand' the ref's ruling in a different way. Above, in Rizzo's ruling I think some stopped after getting to the part where he talks about the 4 picks a day. When you read furthur, he explains what I printed above in his # 3. If there is only one sport left by the time yu get to pick then you only get ONE pick that day.NOT 4 picks in that one sport.||an_shake.gif' border=0>

No man you're reading it wrong. It's now become 4 picks per day in any sport or sports you choose.

It says "depending on the amount of active sports for the day". Not what you are implying which would read "depending on the amount of active sports when you make your first pick".

Well, I have been defending this contest from the start, but now I'm very disappointed too. I was only able to make 2 picks in Day 1 & it was explained in this forum that we are limited to 1 pick per sport, with the only exception being days when there were less than 4 sports, when we would be allowed to make multiple picks in the same sport. So, I made the extra effort to only make 1 pick in each sport every single day since & now I see that multiple picks in the same sport is OKAY??? I am 100% sure that I saw posts from Mods saying that it was a Day 1 site glitch that allowed some posters to make multiple picks in the same sport & their records would be corrected. Now, Rizzo is saying that how many picks you can make in a single sport each day will actually CHANGE throughout each day??? Why? the problem is everone thought when the contet started that you could make up to four picks daily but they had to be from four different sports, and thats not the case. you able to skip all spring baseball games, and if there are other games on the board you can pick from them even though you may have already picked one from that sport. so thing is skip picking all spring baseball games because ,most of them are off the board at 4:05 and then pick another game from basketball or hockey

Yea Utvol no doubt that is best. But before today I was not able to do so. If I made a pick from lets say hockey...all other hockey games would disappear. That is no longer the case. What a sadly run contest.

Guys my apologies if things werent explained more clear earlier on. There are some twists with the rules that you all didnt see until we got a little deeper into the contest...as more schedule situations came up. Again, this is our first stab at the new contest. Not everyone is going to agree with the rules...but believe me - we are taking all of your guys suggestions into consideration for possible changes for Race #2 later in the year. If you go back above to Rizzo where he says,"What this means is...." Therein lies your answer. Just because the picks DON'T disappear after you make your ONE pick for that sport, It is NOT an invitaion to keep on picking from that sport. One pick from each Sport Offered per day but a maximum of 4 picks. If there's only 3 sports then you get 3 picks, one from each. yeah really. from our end, we just have to win our picks. That's the only reason to be pissed off. Appears this is going to be a frequent contest, so i have no doubt wagerline will make some minor changes if they see a need for it next time around. this is a great site, i dont doubt what these guys do.

for the last few posters ... I am not complaining, I just want clear rules that I can follow. I am in 20th place as I type this & I have yet to make 2 picks in the same sport on ANY day. That said, it has nothing to do with just winning my picks. I would just like to know what picks I can or cannot make & want to be clear on the rules & know that the same rules are applied to everyone. I don't think that's too much to ask & the last thing I would want to do is make 2 picks in NBA, win a prize in this thing & then have my prize forfeited because I made a mistake. Likewise, if I have 2 plays left & I like 2 games in NBA, I would rather make the 2 NBA picks than 1 NBA & a coinflip in another. I think it's important to be clear on this. While all the questions may be annoying to some people, it is just as annoying to see posts like Nap12's above that serve no constructive purpose whatsoever other than to be rude. To say "you are all retarded" & "grow up" in the same sentence is truly ironic. I thank you for being so mature while dispensing your unnecessary advice.
