1st half, 2nd half OVER UNDER theory - all tourney long

Clogging threads with nonsense.

I am not GianFranco.  Not only am I not him, I am not even sure that I replicated his system, and that sudden realization Wednesday night made me very uncomfortable. With such uncertainty, how could I continue to "help out" and post "his" plays?  But, if I have replicated his system, then I think I know why he got out now. 
Let me backtrack.  Based on the numbers that were actually available to me, I was 3-1 and minus $150 with the better juice.  Although I never saw numbers as good as the ones GianFranco was posting, I am not surprised that some people were able to go over 104 and 104.5 in the OKL/CLIP second half--they would have been 4-0 following my plays.  I went over 105.5 and saw it move to 106, so I posted that number.  I personally thought 106 was a steal, but as one of you pointed out, the number was fishy.  The game itself seemed a little fishy.  One problem I discovered is that it is hard to shop around (5 places in my case), make a decision, make one or more plays, and post here in a timely manner.
Anyway, during the 2H, I looked back at my work and it hit me--maybe I'm not posting what GianFranco would have posted at all.  He didn't come back into the thread and say yes or no.  And then the 2H lost.  I was reticent about the game to begin with.  But I did play the 1H and the 2H large because I really thought it would go over 106 easily.  But it didn't.
Thursday, according to my version of GF's system, there were two plays, which I did not play.  The first one lost the 1H and the 2H.  The other one won the 1H.  Minus $2300 for the day, and minus $2600 in 3 days.  Tonight there were two more plays, which again I didn't play.  Both of them lost 1H and 2H!!   Minus $6600 for the day, and minus $9200 in 4 days!
To backtrack a little further, I have always used March 15 as the day when I start looking at NBA games differently.  It is about a month before the end of the regular season.  From that date on, I start looking at meaningless games, playoff-type games, games that a team might want to lose, etc.  For me, March 15 is an arbitrary date.
Which brings us to my theory about GianFranco.  He has been doing this for 3 years, and he has spreadsheets for everything over that period.  He has experience with his system.  Isn't there a strong possibility that he knows his system stops being effective around the first of March?  He wouldn't want to keep doing it here if he thought there was a high probability of a downturn.  He might instead want to hand it over to me, the perfect fool on the hill, and let me dangle in the wind.  Why else would he "officially" hand the thread over to me with the shaking hands image?  Regardless, rather than bemoaning the end of the thread, maybe you/we should be glad that it ended, or paused for a while until next season.
I admit it was very stupid and inconsiderate of me to interject myself into this thread.  The only consolation is that some of you might have won on Tuesday and got a good CLIP 2H number and won on Wednesday.  And, if my system is a close approximation of GF's system, and I'm no longer saying that it is, then you saved a lot of money the last two days by not playing the four games I would have posted and which he might have posted.

 

If you've been following the thread you'd know Gianfranco is a sarcastic person. He took a break from his sytem for whatever reason and that post addressed to you was done in tongue in cheek.

I am not a troll.  I participate and I make plays.  I regret entering this thread.  I did not, could not and would not destroy this thread. By the way, I did not mean to imply in my previous post anything negative about GianFranco.  He has been extremely open and generous.  If he wants to continue this thread, he knows he can come in anytime and lay out the future ground rules about participation or non-participation, and we would all abide by them.  If he has left this thread for good, it is not because of me.  There are many reasons why he might choose to leave or pause for a while.  I mentioned one possibility in my previous post and GianFranco himself said he wanted to focus on the college basketball tournament.

cd329, I should have said my friend told me about this thread on this site.  I am an NBA'er, not NCAAB'er.  How was I supposed to know there was an NBA system thread in the College Basketball category?  I didn't even look in this category before.  I have had my own NBA systems, and my friend thought I would be interested in GF's system.  I looked, got interested and wanted to figure it out.  Earlier this week, when I thought I had, I innocently tried to predict two plays. GianFranco could have said I was right, or I was wrong, and that would have been that.  Instead, for whatever reason, he handed me the keys to the race car.  I tried a lap or two behind the wheel, but had to stop and get out.  You know why?  Because I am not GianFranco,  I am MaxWagner.

Who is who or what doesn't matter.  Autigers2121 can you pass or share spreadsheet or anyone to come up with what plays might be good or post.  Win or lose I think we all would like that action.  That is what matters here.
