Two things Japan dreads to play are teams that have a hefty front court and those teams that plays really Physical. India fits the bill here. I've only seen them play for like three quarters and they were in three different games. India, although slow, plays well to their size and should be able to close out on Japanese shooters with their length. Japan looks exhausted in this tourney and actually looked the same way the whole Jones cup. I think this discontent in their situation and the way of play continues. 20 points is a lot against an India team who would try and finish the best they could.

Read lbj_19 and he got everything down. China is still a decent team but not the power house they are geared to be. Front court isn't as reliable and even headed by a shakier back court. Taipei plays with a lot of grit and ultimately could upset any team. Don't get me wrong here. China wins this one but should be on the edge whether they cover or not. They still dominate Taipei in most aspects and Yi should have no trouble getting his share of production here. This should be a lot like their game against Korea but poised for a different ending. China wins here but pretty close to the spread.
IMO, play should be on Taipei+8.5 or better. China should get the W here around the spread.

Lines for the host team has always been inflated. Philippines isn't the type to blow teams out of the water. They always have a tendency of allowing teams back or relaxing and tend to play around with big leads. Gilas' Douthit isn't 100% but you'd expect him to give more than that. De Ocampo and a few other veterans in the team seem to can't find their stroke. Expect coach Reyes to stick to a shorter (also in height) line up the rest of the way. Kazakhstan plays like a lesser version of Qatar but a bit taller. They should be able to give Gilas a run for their money here. Like the host team, they have yet to gain the much needed games to prep for this tourney. I think they should be comfortable with their sets at the point and be able to execute a lot better against a smaller team.

Without an anchor in the middle, I think Hong Kong gets the second chance possessions they need to push a Bahrain team without its two best players. The Arab teams have generally been a disappointment.

If you can look and see, 2012 Japan 90/72 and 2010 Japan 85/58, not sure what the rosters were like but agree this should be a nice layup as they say for Japan
Those stats would be good for before, I wouldn't rely on it. India has improved this year and Japan has declined. I do see Japan winning here but not cover. I am also assuming Sakuragi wouldn't be interested in this game while India would fight tooth and nail for this. Another thing I like going is Japan is not good defensively at all.
Milk, you still think Iran is still a good play even at -23.5? The talent favors Iran but I think 24 is not worth the risk. Jordan can play. For me I ony play that big of a line if the opposition is in the level of Indias, Thais etc.
Also will be changing my play on Qatar to probably a pass since the line has dropped to 9.
